Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan beban tugas dengan kepuasan kerja guru Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) daerah Kinta Utara, Perak. Kajian ini merupakan satu kajian kuantitatif yang menggunakan kaedah tinjauan. Sampel kajian yang adalah seramai 363 orang guru daripada 3,552 orang guru SMK dalam daerah Kinta Utara, Perak. Pemilihan sampel kajian ini adalah menggunakan teknik pensampelan rawak mudah. Kajian ini menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen kajian. Instrumen kajian ini telah diadaptasi daripada Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) dan Job Descriptive Index (JDI). Dapatan kajian menunjukkan purata beban tugas guru ialah 77.12 jam seminggu berada pada tahap yang tinggi. Tahap kepuasan kerja guru (min = 3.60) pula berada pada tahap yang sederhana. Analisis Ujian-t menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan beban tugas guru yang signifikan berdasarkan jantina dengan nilai t (363) = - 4.951, p < 0.05. Walau bagaimanapun, perbezaan kepuasan kerja guru mengikut jantina tidak signifikan apabila nilai t (363) = 0.183, p > 0.05. Analisis Anova Sehala pula menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan beban tugas guru yang signifikan berdasarkan tempoh pengalaman mengajar dengan nilai F (4, 358) = 4.285, p < 0.05. Selain itu, terdapat perbezaan kepuasan kerja guru yang signifikan berdasarkan tempoh pengalaman mengajar, F (4, 358) = 5.043, p < 0.05. Keputusan analisis Korelasi Pearson menunjukkan hubungan negatif yang lemah antara beban tugas dan kepuasan kerja guru (r = - 0.141, p < 0.01). Kesimpulannya, beban tugas mempunyai hubungan dengan kepuasan kerja guru yang mana semakin tinggi beban tugas, semakin rendah kepuasan kerja guru. Implikasi kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa beban tugas guru perlu disemak semula untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja guru agar profesion keguruan dapat diperkasakan.
