Perkembangan Revolusi Industri Keempat dan kemunculan wabak Covid-19 telah membawa dunia moden ke arah konsep pendigitalan dengan lebih pantas. Keadaan ini seterusnya menormalisasikan penggunaan kandungan pembelajaran, media sosial, permainan, dan hiburan yang berupaya menimbulkan kelakuan luar norma dalam kalangan kanak-kanak. Walaupun kajian terdahulu telah membincangkannya, namun penyelidik memandang faktor kontekstual seperti ciri keluarga dan individu mungkin merupakan penyederhana yang signifikan dalam isu ini. Campur tangan ibu bapa dilihat berkesan dalam membantu interaksi kanak-kanak dengan kemudahan teknologi. Sementara itu, keperluan dan pemilihan penggunaan jenis kandungan yang tidak seragam antara kanak-kanak lelaki dan perempuan juga mungkin menjadi faktor terpenting. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan menyediakan kerangka konsep untuk mengenal pasti pengaruh penggunaan jenis kandungan gajet terhadap tingkah laku bermasalah kanak-kanak, juga mengenal pasti sejauh mana kekuatan pengantaraan ibu bapa dan jantina kanak-kanak dalam menyederhanakan hubungan tersebut. Ini boleh berfungsi sebagai peta jalan dalam membentuk pendekatan bersesuaian bagi mengintegrasikan sistem pendidikan ke arah pendigitalan. Tambahan pula, idea kerangka konsep ini dianggap mempunyai nilai tersendiri bagi menyumbang kepada penyelidikan akan datang.
