Kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti pengaruh penerimaan media sosial dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) guru sains di sekolah menengah Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. Enam faktor penerimaan seperti jangkaan prestasi, jangkaan usaha, pengaruh sosial, tabiat, motivasi hedonis, dan inovasi peribadi dianalisis melalui tinjauan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan soal selidik dalam talian. Seramai 30 guru menjadi responden untuk kajian rintis dan 175 guru untuk kajian sebenar. Analisis data melibatkan analisis deskriptif dan inferens. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan penerimaan media sosial di kalangan guru sains pada tahap sederhana dan tinggi untuk faktor penerimaan yang dikaji dan juga bagi niat perilaku. Sementara itu, analisis inferens korelasi dan regresi dilakukan bagi menunjukkan kekuatan hubungan dan pengaruh faktor penerimaan media sosial dalam PdP guru sains sekolah menengah. Hasil analisis korelasi mendapati nilai pekali korelasi (r) menunjukkan faktor penerimaan seperti jangkaan prestasi (r = 0.511), jangkaan usaha (r = 0.442), pengaruh sosial (r = 0.380), tabiat (r = 0.614), motivasi hedonis (r = 0.320) dan inovasi peribadi (r=0.400) mempunyai hubungan positif yang signifikan dengan niat perilaku. Analisis regresi juga menunjukkan kesemua pemboleh ubah penerimaan memberi pengaruh positif yang signifikan iaitu sebanyak 58.4% ke atas niat perilaku guru. Selain itu, didapati bahawa faktor tabiat merupakan peramal yang terpenting (β = 0.382, p < 0.05) terhadap niat perilaku kerana memberikan sumbangan tertinggi yang unik serta signifikan terhadap niat perilaku. Maka, berdasarkan ini, dapat dibuktikan bahawa guru berkeyakinan terhadap potensi media sosial sebagai alat bantu yang bermanfaat dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran sains. Implikasi kajian ini menekankan perlunya kolaborasi antara Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia dan Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri untuk mengembangkan garis panduan komprehensif agar dapat meningkatkan keberkesanan dan akses sumber pembelajaran bagi guru dan murid, dengan fokus memastikan bahawa penerimaan dan penggunaan media sosial dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran guru dan murid lebih bermakna di masa depan.
