Writing essays is one important element in the process of teaching and learning of Malay language either at school or at school. In the essay writing process, each student is required to provide the ideas and construct grammatically verses. While a student there, but if the idea is less to build a sentence in accordance with proper sentence structure, the idea that wants are not met. Therefore, this study attempts to peel pemasalahan Malay essay writing, especially for Chinese students. The focus of research is focused on syntax errors in essay writing of students and the method used was a survey, literature review and content analysis. Based on the study of syntax errors in the structural analysis of Chinese students' essays, some solutions can be made. The study found that there were several factors that affect the syntax errors in student essay writing. Research also suggests that a variety of approaches, methods and techniques applied by teachers for students to produce a good essay.
