Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  melihat  kesan  penggunaan  teknik  inkuiri  penemuan berbanding tutorial ke atas pencapaian pelajar tingkatan dua, dalam mata pelajaran sains. Reka  bentuk kajian yang digunakan adalah kajian eksperimen kuasi. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 60  orang pelajar yang dipilih secara rawak dari tiga kelas di salah sebuah sekolah di daerah Jerantut.  Sampel dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan iaitu kumpulan rawatan dan kawalan secara rawak seramai 30  orang setiap kumpulan. Instrumen kajian yang digunakan ialah ujian pra, ujian pos dan soalselidik.  Data yang diperolehi telah dianalisis menggunakan kaedah statistik inferens. Dapatan kajian  menunjukkan bahawa terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan bagi skor min ujian pra dan ujian pos bagi  kumpulan rawatan (M=73.83, SD=9.029) dan kumpulan kawalan (M=56.10, SD=8.672) berdasarkan nilai  t(29) = 31.959, p
