Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian  ini bertujuan  untuk  mengenal pasti faktor-faktor  yang  mempengaruhi  prestasi kerja  berdasarkan personaliti (kehematan, keterbukaan, neurotisisme, ekstraversi dan kesetujuan),  komitmen   dan   efikasi   kendiri   dalam   kalangan   guru   sekolah   kebangsaan.   Kajian   ini  melibatkan  350  orang  guru  sekolah  rendah  di  Kota  Bharu,  Kelantan  yang  dipilih  secara  rawak.  Personaliti,   komitmen  dan  efikasi  kendiri  masing-masing   diukur  menggunakan  terjemahan   Big  Five  Inventory,  Teacher's  Commitment   Scale  dan  Teachers'   Sense  of  Efficacy  Scale.  Prestasi  kerja  diukur  dengan  menggunakan  Borang  Jabatan  Pendidikan Awam   Prestasi,  3/2002  yang  diubahsuai.  Data  dianalisis  dengan  menggunakan  analisis deskriptif  dan Permodelan Persamaan Struktur (SEM). Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa secara keseluruhannya,  personaliti ekstraversi (M=3.88, SP=0.598) dan kehematan (M=3.87, SP=0.546)   bagi  guru   berada    pada   tahap   yang   tinggi,   manakala   komitmen   (M=3.70, SP=0.715), efikasi kendiri (M=3.70,  SP=0.464) dan prestasi kerja guru (M=3.65, SP=0.717) berada pada tahap sederhana.   Beberapa   dimensi,  iaitu subskala  murid  (M=3.80,  SP=0.70) dan  profesion  (M=3.90,  SP=0.698)  bagi   komitmen,  subskala  penglibatan  murid  dalam efikasi  kendiri  (M=3.86,  SP=0.562)  dan  subskala   penghasilan  kerja  (M=3.80,  SP=0.711) bagi pembolehubah prestasi kerja  berada pada  tahap   tinggi.  Faktor personaliti  guru  (  Eks= 0.119,  Kes= 0.170,  Keh= 0.158,  Neu= 0.143,  Ket=  0.245) telah menyumbang sebanyak 44% varians dalam komitmen dan 69% ( Eks= 0.070,  Kes= 0.179,  Keh= 0.133,  Neu= 0.196,  Ket= 0.215)  varians dalam efikasi kendiri. Sebanyak 70% varians prestasi kerja guru dipengaruhi oleh  komitmen   ( =0.340),  efikasi  kendiri  ( =0.531),  ekstraversi  ( =0.112),  kesetujuan ( =0.095),  kehematan   ( =-0.092),  neurotisisme  ( =-0.052)  dan  keterbukaan  ( =   -0.033). Dapatan analisis SEM  menunjukkan nilai Khi Kuasa Dua Goodness-of-Fit adalah signifikan dan model  yang dicadangkan  sepadan dengan data kajian. Lima nilai indeks padanan yang lain, iaitu RMSEA= .052, CFI=.974 dan  ChiSq/df= 1.931 juga menunjukkan padanan yang baik  dengan  data  kajian.  Kesimpulan  menunjukkan   prestasi  kerja  cemerlang  guru  boleh dibina  dengan  mengambil  kira aspek  personaliti,   efikasi  kendiri dan komitmen.  Akhirnya, implikasi kajian menunjukkan  guru yang berprestasi  tinggi adalah nadi kejayaan guru yang membina generasi akan datang.
