Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kesan latihan Tabata terhadap maklum balas fisiologi dan komposisi tubuh atlet wanita. Kajian ini melibatkan 36 atlet wanita yang berumur 16 tahun yang dibahagikan secara rawak kepada kumpulan kawalan (n =12), kumpulan Gaya Tabata (n = 12) dan kumpulan Tabata Ergometer (n =12). Program latihan dijalankan selama lapan minggu. Reka bentuk kajian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Alat kajian yang digunakan untuk mengukur parameter fisiologi daripada aspek pengambilan oksigen maksimum ialah melalui Ujian Yo-Yo, jumlah bendalir tubuh menggunakan Monitor Komposisi Tubuh Tanita BC541, kadar persepsi latihan menggunakan Skala Borg, tekanan darah dengan Omron M10-1T serta kadar nadi pemulihan menggunakan Polar® RS800G3™ manakala parameter komposisi tubuh adalah peratus lemak tubuh diukur menggunakan Monitor Komposisi Tubuh Tanita BC541. Data dianalisis menggunakan ujian ANOVA dua hala. Keputusan ujian menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara kumpulan daripada aspek pengambilan oksigen maksimum [F (2, 33) =17.92, p < 0.05], jumlah bendalir tubuh [F (2, 33) = 4.93, p < 0.05], kadar nadi pemulihan [F (2, 33) = 13.21, p < 0.05] dan kadar persepsi latihan [F (2, 33) = 17.96, p < 0.05]. Walau bagaimana pun tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan daripada aspek tekanan darah. Ujian post hoc menunjukkan min pada ujian pasca bagi kumpulan Tabata Ergometer berbeza secara signifikan dengan kumpulan kawalan pada parameter fisiologi daripada aspek pengambilan oksigen maksimum, jumlah bendalir tubuh, kadar nadi pemulihan serta kadar persepsi latihan. Dalam konteks komposisi tubuh pula, terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan [F (2, 33) = 7.89, p < 0.05] terhadap peratus lemak tubuh dalam ketiga-tiga kumpulan. Kesimpulannya, latihan Tabata Ergometer memberi kesan yang signifikan kepada fisiologi dan komposisi tubuh atlet wanita daripada aspek pengambilan oksigen maksimum, jumlah bendalir tubuh, kadar nadi, kadar persepsi latihan serta peratus lemak tubuh. Implikasinya, Latihan Tabata Ergometer dicadangkan untuk digunakan oleh atlet dalam menentukan maklum balas fisiologi dan komposisi tubuh.
