Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Tujuan utama kajian ini dilakukan untuk mengenal pasti pengaruh komponen kecergasan fizikal terhadap prestasi lari pecut 100 meter dalam kalangan murid lelaki berumur 13 tahun di Kuala Lumpur. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kuantitatif berbentuk kajian kes sekali (one shot case study) untuk menganalisis pengaruh komponen kecergasan fizikal berasaskan kesihatan, komponen kecergasan fizikal berasaskan sukan dan komponen antropometri terhadap lari pecut 100 meter. Seramai 180 orang murid lelaki berumur 13 tahun telah dipilih sebagai sampel kajian dengan menggunakan kaedah persampelan rawak berstrata. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi pelbagai. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan, tiga komponen kecergasan fizikal berasaskan kesihatan iaitu daya tahan kardiovaskular, kekuatan otot dan komposisi tubuh badan; tiga komponen kecergasan fizikal berasaskan sukan iaitu kuasa, kepantasan, masa reaksi; dan dua komponen antropometri iaitu ketinggian berdiri dan berat badan; menyumbang kepada pengukuran dalam skor lari pecut 100 meter. Kesimpulannya, kajian menunjukkan bahawa lapan daripada 15 peramal bakat dalam lari pecut 100 meter iaitu daya tahan kardiovaskular, kekuatan otot, komposisi tubuh badan, kuasa, kepantasan, masa reaksi, ketinggian berdiri dan berat badan merupakan peramal bagi prestasi lari pecut 100 meter dalam kalangan murid lelaki berumur 13 tahun. Kajian ini juga mencadangkan bahawa kelapan-lapan pemboleh ubah tersebut boleh digunakan sebagai bateri ujian untuk mengenal pasti bakat pelari pecut 100 meter khusus kepada murid lelaki berumur 13 tahun.
