Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini adalah untuk membentuk model pengukuran pengekalan kerjaya bagi jurutera awam wanita
yang telah berkeluarga. Kajian ini menggunakan Model Kerjaya Kaleidoskop, Teori Dua Faktor
Herzberg, dan Model Pengekalan Pekerja sebagai panduan. Reka bentuk kajian adalah menggunakan
pembangunan model pengukuran. Teknik awal yang digunakan dalam pembangunan instrumen kajian ini
adalah teknik Delphi yang telah diubahsuai. Seramai tujuh orang pakar telah dilantik berdasarkan
kepakaran dan pengalaman dalam bidang yang dikaji. Pakar-pakar tersebut juga telah mengesahkan
lapan sub konstruk bagi dua konstruk utama iaitu keseimbangan hidup dan kepuasan kerjaya dalam
pengekalan kerjaya bagi jurutera awam wanita. Persampelan rawak berstrata telah digunakan dalam
kajian ini. Instrumen baharu telah dibangunkan dengan lapan sub konstruk dan 68 item serta
diedarkan kepada responden dalam kalangan jurutara awam wanita yang telah berkeluarga untuk melihat
faktor yang menyumbangkan para jurutera awan ini untuk terus kekal bekerja dalam tempoh panjang.
Data empirikal yang dipungut dianalisis dengan statistic infrens iaitu PLS-SEM untuk membentuk
model pengukuran. Rumusan daripada pengesahan pakar Delphi menunjukkan konstruk keseimbangan hidup
mempunyai empat sub konstrak penting iaitu kerjaya fleksibel (M= 4.89; SP= 0.90; β= 0.90),
penjagaan anak (M= 4.06; SP= 1.27; β= 0.86), cuti (M= 4.78; SP= 0.82; β= 0.66), dan
sokongan sosial (M= 4.45; SP= 0.77; β= 0.60). Manakala bagi konstruk kepuasan kerjaya pula turut
mempunyai empat sub konstruk penting iaitu, mentor (M= 4.68; SP= 0.95; β= 0.61), hubungan rakan
sekerja (M= 4.88; SP= 0.93; β= 0.56), kesamarataan jantina (M=
4.65; SP= 1.00; β= 0.55), dan gaji (M= 4.60; SP= 0.90; β= 0.43). Pusingan ketiga pembangunan model
pengukuran menunjukkan bahawa hanya 62 item daripada 68 item bagi kedua-dua konstruk keseimbangan
