Wabak COVID-19 dan penguatkuasaan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) menimbulkan norma baharu dalam masyarakat. Pembukaan operasi tadika swasta dalam tempoh ini disambut dengan reaksi berbeza para pengusaha. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk menilai tahap pematuhan prosedur operasi standard (SOP) bagi membendung penularan COVID-19. Kajian melibatkan 50 tadika swasta di Selangor. Penilaian berdasarkan dua perspektif iaitu maklum balas daripada pengurusan tadika dan guru pelatih. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap pematuhan adalah tinggi iaitu nilai min 4.260 (sebelum operasi) dan 4.278 (semasa operasi) berdasarkan maklum balas pengusaha pada skala 1 – 5 manakala min 4.212 berdasarkan pemerhatian guru pelatih. Sebelum beroperasi, tadika swasta memastikan ibu bapa mengistihar bebas daripada COVID-19 (min 4.64), memantau kesihatan guru (min 4.52), dan mengetatkan peraturan kemasukan pelawat (min 4.38). Semasa beroperasi tadika melarang kehadiran kanak-kanak bergejala (min 4.54), menyediakan pencuci tangan (min 4.44), mewajibkan penggunaan pelitup muka (min 4.40), mengasingkan kanak-kanak bergejala (min 4.40), aktiviti disinfeksi yang menyeluruh (min 4.36), dan memastikan ibu bapa berkerjasama sewajarnya (min 4.32). Pemerhatian guru pelatih menyokong skor maklum balas tadika. Skor terendah yang diberikan oleh guru pelatih adalah untuk tindakan memastikan kanak-kanak memakai pelitup muka (min 3.72), larangan berkongsi permainan (min 3.89), sentuhan fizikal (min 3.96), mengelakkan aktiviti berkumpulan (min 3.98), dan mengesan kontak rapat kanak-kanak bergejala (min 4.02). Tahap pematuhan tinggi memberi petunjuk kesungguhan pengusaha untuk memastikan tadika swasta dapat beroperasi dengan baik dan selamat. Hasil kajian ini mempunyai signifikan terhadap peranan agensi berwajib untuk menyediakan latihan dan bantuan kewangan bagi memastikan penularan COVID-19 dapat dibendung. Sokongan sebegini adalah penting untuk memungkinkan pengusaha tadika swasta menawarkan perkhidmatan berkualiti demi kepentingan pendidikan dan keselamatan kanak-kanak di tadika.
