Faktor antropometrik (ketinggian) dan kecergasan fizikal (kekuatan kaki, kelajuan dan ketangkasan) merupakan antara faktor penyumbang yang mempengaruhi pencapaian seseorang pemain bola keranjang. Kajian ex post-facto ini bertujuan untuk menilai hubungan antara ketinggian, kekuatan kaki, kelajuan, dan ketangkasan pemain bola keranjang lelaki bawah 18 tahun di Sabah. Seramai 144 orang pemain yang menyertai Kejohanan Majlis Sukan Sekolah-Sekolah Sabah 2020 direkrut sebagai subjek kajian. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menguji kecergasan fizikal subjek dalam kajian ini ialah Ujian Lompat Jauh Berdiri, Ujian Lari Pecut 30 meter dan Ujian Lari Ulang-Alik 10 meter, masing-masing adalah menilai kekuatan kaki, kelajuan dan ketangkasan. Ketinggian fizikal subjek dalam unit sentimeter diukur menggunakan pita pengukur. Dapatan menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan di antara ketinggian dan kelajuan (rs = -.199, p = .017), serta kelajuan dan ketangkasan (rs = .359, p < .000) dalam kalangan pemain bola keranjang lelaki. Walau bagaimanapun, hubungan bagi ketinggian-kekuatan kaki (rs = .066, p = .431), kekuatan kaki-kelajuan (rs = -.159, p = .056), dan kekuatan kaki-ketangkasan (rs = -.074, p = .379) pemain bola keranjang lelaki adalah tidak signifikan. Kesimpulannya, tahap kelajuan dan ketangkasan pemain bola keranjang lelaki adalah selari dan ketinggian fizikal yang lebih baik tidak meningkatkan kelajuan seseorang itu berlari. Oleh itu, hasil kajian ini dapat membantu para jurulatih bola keranjang di sekolah-sekolah untuk merangka program latihan berdasarkan kepada ketinggian, kekuatan kaki, kelajuan dan ketangkasan seseorang pemain. |
