Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh gaya kepimpinan ketua pusat tanggungjawab yang lebih dominan ke atas prestasi kerja kakitangan pentadbiran di Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris apabila gaya kepimpinan transformasi, transaksi dan laissez-faire ketua pusat tanggungjawab dianalisis secara serentak. Prestasi kerja kakitangan pentadbiran pula telah diukur dengan menggunakan prestasi kerja dalam tanggungjawab tambahan. Kajian ini mengaplikasikan penggunaan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui kaedah tinjauan sampel. Seramai 234 orang responden daripada 37 pusat tanggung jawab terlibat dalam kajian ini yang terdiri daripada kakitangan pentadbiran daripada kumpulan pelaksana sokongan 1 dan 2 serta kumpulan pengurusan dan profesional di Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. Teknik pensampelan rawak mudah digunakan dalam memilih sampel kajian serta pengunaan borang soal selidik bagi mengutip data kajian. Perisian SPSS digunakan untuk menganalisis data kajian melibatkan analisis deskriptif (frekuensi dan peratusan) serta perisian HLM turut digunakan bagi melaksanakan analisis pelbagai tahap kerana sifat data kajian terdiri daripada pelbagai peringkat. Hasil analisis kajian menunjukkan kepimpinan transformasi, transaksi dan laissez-faire ketua pusat tanggungjawab menunjukkan signifikan yang positif dengan prestasi kerja dalam tanggungjawab tambahan kakitangan pentadbiran apabila dianalisis secara berasingan. Walau bagaimanapun, analisis menunjukkan hanya kepimpinan transformasi ketua pusat tanggungjawab membuktikan pengaruh yang dominan terhadap prestasi kerja dalam tanggungjawab tambahan kakitangan pentadbiran berbanding kepimpinan transaksi dan laissez-faire apabila analisis dilakukan secara serentak. Dapatan kajian memberikan bukti empirikal bahawa kepimpinan transformasi, transaksi dan laissez-faire ketua pusat tanggungjawab dapat meningkatkan prestasi kerja dalam tanggungjawab tambahan kakitangan pentadbiran, namun terbukti bahawa hanya kepimpinan transformasi ketua pusat tanggungjawab boleh menggerakkan kepada prestasi kerja dalam tanggungjawab tambahan kakitangan pentadbiran berbanding gaya kepimpinan yang lain. |
