Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Tujuan penyelidikan ini adalah melibatkan pemahaman dan penguasaan pemikiran algebra dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran bidang algebra dan perkaitan bagi mata pelajaran Matematik Tahun 4. Reka bentuk penyelidikan yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah reka bentuk kuasi-eksperimen. Seramai 70 orang murid telah dipilih secara rawak untuk kumpulan rawatan dan kumpulan kawalan. Perisian kursus pemikiran Algebra digunakan sebagai bahan bantu pengajaran bagi memudahkan pembelajaran dan pengajaran pemikiran Algebra. Objektif peringkat pertama adalah mereka bentuk dan menghasilkan perisian kursus multimedia interaktif dengan menggunakan model ADDIE Objektif bagi peringkat kedua adalah mengkaji kesan perisian kursus pemikiran multimedia interaktif dalam membantu meningkatkan pemikiran Algebra bagi menguji pemahaman dan penguasaan konsep pemikiran Algebra yang mengikut ciri-ciri rangka kerja pemikiran Algebra Kieran (2016). Rawatan telah dijalankan untuk kumpulan eksperimen dengan menggunakan perisian kursus pemikiran algebra manakalan kumpulan kawalan kaedah konvensional digunakan. Kajian ini menjurus kepada keberkesanan persepsi terhadap motivasi, keseronokan dan keyakinan dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran melalui perisian kursus Algebra. Dapatan kajian akhir intervensi jelas menunjukkan bahawa terdapat peningkatan dalam tahap penguasaan pemikiran algebra. Keputusan ujian Anova signifikan secara statistik dengan memberikan nilai ujian pra 0.002 (p = 0.002), dan nilai ujian pasca signifikan iaitu 0.000 (p = 0.000), p < 0.05. Oleh itu, hipotesis nul (Ho) ditolak. Keputusan ujian menunjukkan bahawa terdapat peningkatan dalam pencapaian dan penguasaan pemikiran algebra dalam kalangan murid tahun 4. Kajian terhadap pemikiran Algebra perlu dilanjutkan dengan melibatkan sampel yang lebih besar dan tajuk ini perlu diberikan tumpuan khusus serta memastikan penggunaan media teknologi bagi meningkatkan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran matematik yang berkesan. Guru Matematik di sekolah rendah perlu diberi latihan dalam mengembangkan Pemikiran Algebra dan melaksanakan strategi dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran mereka.
