Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti kesan aktiviti renang berstruktur terhadap
perkembangan kanak-kanak autistik dalam kemahiran komunikasi, interaksi sosial dan
tingkah laku. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan reka bentuk kajian kes telah digunakan
untuk menjawab tiga persoalan kajian. Tiga instrumen digunakan iaitu analisis
dokumen, temu bual separa berstruktur dan pemerhatian separa berstruktur untuk
memperoleh maklumat perkembangan subjek yang terlibat. Seramai empat orang
kanak-kanak autistik yang terdiri daripada autistik berat, autistik sederhana dan autistik
ringan dipilih melalui teknik pensampelan bertujuan. Data dianalisis menggunakan
kaedah analisis tematik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan peningkatan ketara dalam
kemahiran komunikasi (ekspresi wajah dan respons), peningkatan minimum dalam
interaksi sosial (kontak mata, pergaulan rakan sebaya) dan penurunan tingkah laku
agresif serta penurunan kekerapan tingkah laku berulang. Kesimpulannya, kajian ini
menunjukkan bahawa aktiviti renang berstruktur memberikan kesan positif terhadap
perkembangan subjek dalam kemahiran komunikasi, interaksi sosial dan tingkah laku.
Implikasi kajian ini dapat memberi kesedaran kepada pelbagai pihak berkenaan faedah
aktiviti renang terhadap perkembangan kanak-kanak autistik. |
