Development and usability of STEAM textbook integrated character education with local wisdom themes for primary school students
Mazlini Adnan
This study aims to develop a valid, usable, and creative for project-based learning STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) textbook integrating character education with local wisdom themes for primary school students. Design and Development Research (DDR) based on the ADDIE model was used as the research design. Three experts were used to validate the STEAM textbook and 58 mathematics teachers and 60 students of Year 4 from the Perak Tengah district participated in the usability survey. The data were analyzed descriptively (percentage, mean and standard deviation) and Pearson correlation. The results show the STEAM textbook has excellent validity with 90% agreement from the experts. The usability of the STEAM textbook was rated well by teachers with a mean of 4.21 (SD = 0.45) and by students with a mean of 3.69 (SD = 0.17). This indicated that the textbook is usable for teachers and students. Pearson correlation also revealed a strong relationship between the v.....

Polyurethane application to transform screen-printed electrode for rapid identification of histamine isolated from fish
Mohamad Syahrizal Ahmad
The toxicity of histamine has attracted numerous researchers to develop a method for histamine determination purposes. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) unequivocally prohibits the consumption of histamine above 50 mgkg-1. Thus, an innovation in histamine detection in fish has been developed in this research. The investigation of the histamine level in fish has been conducted by using an electrochemical sensor approach and producing a polymer via molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) on a screen-printed electrode. The technique was validated by assessing the shifts in electron shifting using the cyclic voltammetry (CV) approach and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), whereas differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) was applied to validate the sensor method. The instruments showed a linear response ranging from 1-1000 nmolL-1, with a detection limit of MIP/SPE at 1.765 nmolL-1 and 709 nmolL-1 for the NIP/SPE, respectively. The sensing technique was employed to determine the his.....

Leading teaching and learning in the era of education 4.0: the development of teacher competency model via structural equation modelling
Tai, Mei Kin
The objective of the study was to develop the Teacher Competency Model for Education 4.0 (TCMEdu4.0) based on the Malaysian perspective. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was applied to ascertain the core factors whereas Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was conducted to investigate the measurement models. There were 559 and 998 respondents engaged in the survey for EFA and CFA respectively. With normed x2 = 4.125, TLI =.948, CFI =.953 and RMSEA =.056, the analysis yielded a six factor TCMEdu4 namely, Self-management and Interactive Competency, Functional and Research Competency, Pedagogical Psychology and Assessment, Leading Learning and Mentoring, Technological and Digital Competency, and Problem Solving. TCMEdu4.0 would provide direction for educational practitioners not only in Malaysia but also those countries with the similar background as Malaysia in designing training programmes whereby resources can be targeted accurately so that teachers can be equipped with essential compet.....

Bibliometric visualization of literature on information and communications technology (ICT) in education
Loh Yoke Ling
Information and communication technology (ICT) in education, also known as education technology, is an important component of SDG 4's goal of improving educational quality. This Bibliometric study examines research patterns over time using the term "education technology." Three research questions are prioritised: (1) What is the current publication trend in EduTech? (2) What are the most popular themes among EduTech scholars? (3) What is the current citation pattern of EduTech publications? The methodology of this study uses bibliometric analysis with quantitative approach (document trend statistics) in the data scopus.com database for the years 1946 to 2022. The study's findings showed the number of publications on this education technology has increased since 2005, and this trend is expected to continue, with a recent notable theme being a focus on methodology studies, particularly in the field of health education. The influence of media exposure on voters behavior during the sumbawa 2020 local election (PILKADA)
Sarina Yusup
During Indonesia's general elections, mass media was the most popular medium for transmitting political influence. However, the extent of media influence on voting behaviour is unknown, creating a problem that necessitates careful research. As a result, the purpose of this study was to determine the impact of media exposure on voting behaviour among Sumbawa voters in Indonesia during the Pemilihan Kepala Daerah, or PILKADA 2020. A sample of 400 voters was chosen using a Multi-Level Random Sampling method. To better understand this phenomenon, a set of questionnaires was used as a data collection tool in the field. The collected data was then analysed using SPSS software version 26. Descriptive analysis revealed that the level of media exposure was divided into three categories: low, medium, and high. However, such exposure has only a minor impact on voter behaviour. While inferential analysis shows that non-mass media exposure has a significant influence on the voting behaviour of the .....
