Universiti awam sedang mengalami perubahan peranan dengan pesat. Ini mendorong kepada perubahan amalan kepimpinan para pentadbir akademik universiti. Berlaku pertembungan antara tradisi autonomi dengan kemunculan kawalan dan pemantauan dari agensi pusat. Kepimpinan distributif dilihat berpotensi untuk menawarkan satu bentuk kepimpinan yang lebih seimbang dalam persekitaran yang berubah ini. Kajian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk meneroka tahap amalan kepimpinan distributif di kalangan pentadbir akademik di sebuah universiti awam di Malaysia. Tourism education has grown quite rapidly in line with the industry development today. Several valuable skills need to be highlighted by the educational institutions in order to produce tourism graduates with quality and efficient employability for future working environment. One of the essential skills needed by the graduates for future employability is workplace readiness skills. Taking the higher education in Malaysia as a case study, the objective of this study is to identify workplace readiness skills required by the industry to be integrated into the tourism educational curriculum for graduates’ employability. This study surveyed 100 tourism sectors in Malaysia consisted of travel agents, restaurants, hotels and transportation sectors using quantitative method. The article discusses the concept of a competency approach to the management of HR and the concepts that are most reliable in the management of training. An alternative competency paradigm is established based on existing theory and actual evidence. The primary goal of this paper is to explore the value of a competency approach as a human resource strategy for advocating the organization's expected responsibilities, talents, and activities. The paper also discusses potential roadblocks to implementing a competency-based approach to HRM in a specific setting. That is, a new dimensional approach for the HR and Training Division considers the notion of meaningfulness and the internalization of the core values of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN). Empowering teachers commitment: how do six dimensions of sustainable leadership play a role?

This study was conducted to examine the relationship between the six dimensions of sustainable leadership practices by principals with the level of commitment by secondary school teachers. The sample comprised 269 respondents who were school administrators including senior assistants, Heads of Departments, and secretaries from 8 secondary schools in the district of Lahad Datu. The researchers adapted a modified instrument based on the Sustainable Leadership Model while the Organisational Commitment Questionnaire was used to identify the level of teachers’ commitment. A pilot study was conducted and the Cronbach’s Alpha value indicated high consistency among the items in the questionnaire. Descriptive analysis was then conducted to determine the frequency of sustainable leadership dimensions practised by the principals. Inferential analysis of Pearson Correlation was also conducted to test the hypotheses. The results showed that teachers perceive principals’ sustainable leadership.....

Motivation is considered one of the crucial aspects for the management to ensure the employee’s positive contribution to the organization objective. Previous studies have shown that employee performance will be less efficient if they will not be motivated. Such a situation will be more serious in the cases of the governmental sector especially in those sectors providing essential community services such as educational services. Therefore, this study was conducted to assess the role of allowance, promotion and appreciation on the employee performance in Khalifa University. The case study approach adopted through the implementation of the quantitative methodology, using designed questionnaires as a data collection method. The study found that allowances, appreciation and promotion have a positive relationship with employee performance. The development of literary critical thinking module and its effectiveness in enhancing hots among esl school students

This study aimed to develop and investigate the effectiveness of literary Critical Thinking Module (CTM) to enhance higher order thinking skills (HOTs) in the teaching of Literature.  This study employed module development research design using both qualitative and quantitative  approaches in collecting data. CTM was developed using ADDIE instructional design model. Test  papers, classroom observation, field notes and interviews were used to measure the effectiveness of  CTM in enhancing HOTs among ESL students. Nine subjects of different proficiency level and two  teachers were involved in the study. The data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics  and content analysis. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keberkesanan model pembelajaran rakan sebaya dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar pendidikan jasmani berdasarkan persepsi pelajar tingkatan 2 SMK ST Peter Bundu, Kuala Penyu, Sabah. Kajian ini melibatkan seramai 56 yang terdiri daripada 32 orang pelajar perempuan dan 24 orang pelajar lelaki tingkatan 2 SMK ST Peter Bundu, Kuala Penyu, Sabah. Data kajian ini dianalisisi secara deskriptif dan inferensi iaitu kekerapan, peratus dan ujian-T tidak bersandar dengan pengukuran berulang melalui perisian IBM SPSS. Dapatan kajian ini telah menunjukkan bahawa kaedah pembelajaran rakan sebaya mempunyai keberkesanan dalam meningkatkan prestasi serta tahap penguasaan psikomotor, afektif dan kognitif pelajar berbanding menggunakan kaedah pembelajaran tradisional. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan teknologi multimedia sebagai bahan bantu mengajar (BBM) dalam kalangan guru pelatih Pendidikan Jasmani. BBM ini dapat menarik minat pelajar untuk menghadirkan diri ke sekolah, dapat meningkatkan mutu pengajaran dan pembelajaran di kalangan guru dan pelajar, serta dapat menyelesaikan pelbagai kaedah pengajaran guru yang sentiasa berubah mengikut peredaran zaman. Perubahan pola pembelajaran pada masa ini secara besar-besaran di semua peringkat pendidikan akibat pandemik COVID-19. Kajian ini telah dijalankan bagi tujuan untuk mengenal pasti sama ada berkesan atau tidak terhadap pembelajaran inovatif secara atas talian dalam mahasiswa dan mahasiswi sem 7 bagi program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pendidikan (Pendidikan Jasmani) Dengan Kepujian di Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Perak. Reka bentuk kajian ini adalah kuantitatif dan soal selidik diedarkan secara rawak melalui Google Form kepada sampel kajian yang dipilih berdasarkan Krejcie dan Morgan (1970) iaitu memerlukan sekurang-sekurang 52 sampel untuk menjawab daripada 59 populasi sampel. Nilai pekali kesahan bagi soal selidik ini ialah 1.00 dan nilai kebolehpercayaan ialah 0.77. Soal selidik ini mengandungi 35 soalan yang terdiri daripada 5 bahagian yang berbeza.
