One way to help students improve their digital reading skills is through a digital story video. The fact that students are starting to prefer digital reading materials is a good sign because it shows that they are keeping up with modern technology. Therefore, this study aims to analyze digital storytelling videos to improve the practice of reading digital materials (NILAM). The design of this study is qualitatively using document analysis and semi-structured interviews as a method of data collection. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with three study participants to examine the Reading Incentive Planning and Activity Report and school-level NILAM data. Purpose: This study aims to explore some benefits and challenges of establishing an international accreditation for teacher education institutions (TEIs) by AsTEN Quality Assurance Agency. This specific accreditation agency is expected to improve the quality of teaching, learning and research at TEIs in ASEAN region. Design/methodology/approach: The qualitative study generates data from questionnaires and online semi-structured interviews among ASEAN academics. They work as teacher educators in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. The economic growth of developing countries always a central issue concerned by all countries because any changes in global events might influence the performance of these countries. However, there are many debates on the relations between exchange rate and inflation rate in developing countries. In present study, finite mixture model is introduced to address the nexus between exchange rate and inflation rate among Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. With this, the monthly data with 182 observations are analysed using maximum likelihood estimation. The results reveal that negative relationship existed during growth situation while no interaction exhibited when a country is trapped into crisis period. Since this study presented the financial interaction among macroeconomic variables during different situations of country, hence, it is believed that statisticians and investors can get to know more details of these variables on these developing countries. Playing mobile MOBA games has become a popular leisure activity among Malaysian youth. However, MOBA games are highly addictive and have negative impacts on adult development. Inadequate local studies investigated the risk factors of excessive MOBA gameplay. The present study examined the (1) predictive role of need frustration on Internet gaming disorder (IGD) and (2) mediating effect of gaming motives. A total of 398 mobile MOBA gamers aged 18 to 29 participated in this cross-sectional online survey study. The findings showed that need frustration positively predicted IGD. Social, escape, competition, coping, and skill motives were significant mediators for the association between need frustration and IGD. However, fantasy and recreation motives were not significant mediators. MOBA players who were frustrated while fulfilling their basic needs may succumb to uncontrollable gaming behavior. Background: Meyerozyma guilliermondii is a prospective yeast that has extensively contributed to the biotechnology sector. In 2015, M. guilliermondii strain SO which was isolated from spoiled orange has successfully been developed as an inducer-free expression system and attained a significant impact in producing industrially important recombinant proteins. The species possesses high similarity to Candida albicans which may cause candidiasis. The industrial-benefiting M. guilliermondii strain SO has been underexplored for its virulence status.
