2023 Article | Analysis of goal scoring pathway for the winners in UEFA champions league competition Mirza Azny Mustafa In soccer, goal scoring becomes the main factor in distinguishing between the winning and losing teams. One of the most crucial components of a soccer team's offensive performance is the goal-scoring path since it has been correlated with a higher likelihood of winning games. Therefore, the study aims to investigate the pathway of goal scoring among the winning teams in the previous seven consecutive seasons (2015/2016 2021/2022) in the UEFA Champions League competition. A total of 216 goals from the UEFA Champions League competitions in seven prior seasons (2015/2016-2019/2020) were examined. The pathway of goal scoring has been divided into long sequence passing, short sequence passing, and others. All the data have been recorded by using hand notational analysis and analyzed by using one-way ANOVA. A total of 216 goals were scored throughout the competition showing that 108 goals were from long sequence passing, 57 goals were from short sequence passing, and 51 goals came from other..... 370 hits
2023 Article | The relationship between perceived coachs competence support, task orientation, self-efficacy and engagement of Chinese high school football players Norsilawati Abdul Razak This study aims to investigate the relationship between perceived coachs competence support, task orientation, self-efficacy and engagement of Chinese high school football players from a competency motivation perspective. A cross-sectional survey of 385 Chinese high school football players (228 boys; 157 girls; Mage = 16.07 years; SD = 1.15; range = 14-19 years) was conducted using proportional stratified random sampling. A multivariate mediation model was tested using structural equation modelling (SEM) to investigate the relationships of perceived coaching competency support on athlete engagement directly, or indirectly through task orientation and self-efficacy. Perceived coachs competence support positively predicted athlete engagement through task orientation and self-efficacy (? = .116, p < 0.01; ? = .112, p < 0.01), and perceived coachs competence support positively predicted self-efficacy through task orientation, and then positively predicted athlete engagement (? = .045, p < ..... 313 hits
2023 Article | The impact of leg width on muscle activation and performance during push-up exercise Ali Md Nadzalan Push-up is an effective bodyweight exercise that can help improve the muscular endurance and strength of the upper limb muscles from health risks. Additionally, there are many ways to perform push-up, and it might cause several changes to its effectiveness. This includes changing the leg conditions such as legs open wide, legs open to shoulder-width, and narrow legs. The study aimed to investigate the effect of leg width during push-ups on muscle activity and performance. A total of 30 trained men (22.36 2.17 years old) participated in the study. Participants were required to perform push-ups in three conditions; i) leg open wide, ii) leg open to shoulder width, and iii) narrow leg. The electromyography (EMG) was used to evaluate the activity of the anterior deltoid (AD), pectoralis major (PM), and triceps brachii (TB) muscles in all conditions. Performance on push-ups was also assessed by the number of repetitions for each condition in this study. The results of one-way repeated measu..... 512 hits
2023 Article | Assessing the sustainability of the homestay industry for the East Coast of Malaysia using the Delphi approach Nurul Hila binti Zainuddin Homestay ecotourism in Malaysia has been extensively examined in terms of its concepts, approaches, activities, and community engagement. However, a comprehensive assessment of the sustainability factors pertaining to host families remains a critical area awaiting exploration. This is paramount for ensuring the long-term viability of homestays and fostering economic benefits within rural communities. The present study seeks to establish direct subjective measurements for evaluating the interplay between local communities, tourism, and resources in safeguarding sustainable homestays. Utilizing the Delphi approach, this research conducted interviews with 51 experts who were actively involved in six homestays located on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The objective was to identify key evaluation indicators pertinent to the homestay industry. The findings underscored the pivotal roles played by community resources and tourism in the sustainability of homestays. Additionally, environ..... 429 hits
2023 Article | Digital teaching materials development containing environmental education using Task Based Language Learning (TBLL) Norliza Jamaluddin The Covid-19 pandemic results in unavoidable changes in all aspects of life, including education. This pandemic has led to the opportunity to enter digital learning. This study aims to develop digital learning materials based on Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) which contains environmental education for senior high school students. This Research & Development (R&D) was based on Plomps development model. Digital learning materials were developed using the i-Spring application and integrated with the LMS Edmodo. The instruments used were questionnaires, observation sheets, and tests. The results of the study showed that digital learning materials were valid, practical, and effective for use in language learning. Besides, the developed model was validated with a self-validation value of 93.12% and an expert validation value of 93.18%. The developed model was tested for its practicality with a teacher practicality value of 93.54% and student validity of 80.62% with the category of very ..... 395 hits

2023 Article | Schoolteachers in out-of-school hours education: Blurring professional ideology in recent times Wan Mazlini binti Othman Teachers professional ideology and their involvement in out-of-school hours (OoSH) practices have been questioned in recent times. This study explores how schoolteachers understand their professional ideology in relation to their OoSH practices and how they explain their participation in private tutoring in addition to formal schooling. This study deploys a qualitative approach using in-depth semi-structured interviews with nine secondary school teachers in Bangladesh. The thematic analysis highlights a substantial gap between Bangladeshi school teachers professional ideologies and their involvement in private tutoring. The findings from the study reveal that the respondents perceive their dual roles as schoolteachers and tutors as controversial and detrimental to discharging their professional duties in an ideological way. They recurrently struggle to justify the dual roles that contribute to the dilemma of professional ideologies. As such, private tutoring does not just create a prob..... 323 hits
2023 Article | The role of job satisfaction in preschool teachers well-being: A structural equation modeling analysis Nurihan binti Nasir Teacher well-being is a stimulating topic frequently appearing in studies over long periods. Teachers are typically exposed to stress that, when addressed, can lead to low morale and positively impact their work. This study examined the relationship between job satisfaction and well-being among preschool teachers in Selangor. We used a quantitative research method and correlational research design to test the hypotheses and answer the research questions. The current study involved 977 government preschool teachers selected using a cluster random sampling method. After data cleaning, a data set of 610 respondents was used for this study. This study used exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) using AMOS for data analysis. SEM Analysis showed that job satisfaction positively influences teachers' well-being. However, our results also showed that the subconstruct of job satisfaction with students did not significantly influence preschool teachers' well-bein..... 491 hits
2023 Article | Enhancing COVID-19 classification accuracy with a Hybrid SVM-LR Model Nurul Hila binti Zainuddin Support ector achine (SVM) is a newer machine learning algorithm for classification, while logistic regression (LR) is an older statistical classification method. Despite the numerous studies contrasting SVM and LR, new improvements such as bagging and ensemble have been applied to them since these comparisons were made. This study proposes a new hybrid model based on SVM and LR for predicting small events per variable (EPV). The performance of the hybrid, SVM, and LR models with different EPV values was evaluated using COVID-19 data from December 2019 to May 2020 provided by the WHO. The study found that the hybrid model had better classification performance than SVM and LR in terms of accuracy, mean squared error (MSE), and root mean squared error (RMSE) for different EPV values. This hybrid model is particularly important for medical authorities and practitioners working in the face of future pandemics. 2023 by the authors... 347 hits
