tajuk Litar Elektrik untuk pelajar sekolah menengah dan menguji kesan
penggunaannya dalam pembelajaran ke atas pencapaian dan motivasi pelajar. Kajian
ini menggunakan reka bentuk Kajian Perekaan dan Pembangunan (DDR) termasuk
kuasi eksperimen bagi menentukan kesan penggunaan permainan tersebut. Fasa
pertama kajian iaitu analisis keperluan melibatkan keseluruhan populasi 504 pelajar di
sekolah Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya. Seramai 384 pelajar Tingkatan 5 memberi
respon yang mana 66.9% pelajar menyatakan tajuk Elektrik adalah tajuk yang paling
sukar manakala kaedah pembelajaran berasaskan permainan menjadi pilihan 62.2%
pelajar. Fasa kedua kajian iaitu reka bentuk dan pembangunan PhyKER Games
melibatkan seramai tiga orang pakar bagi mendapatkan kesahan kandungan. Dapatan
menunjukkan PhyKER Games mempunyai kesahan kandungan yang memuaskan

The development of English education in Kinta district, Perak from 1874 to 1957 became a major element in the emergence of English educated figures. The earnings of this article are to look at the political developments in Kinta region and the country. This article is developed as a result of the reference of primary and secondary sources of documents from the National Archives of Malaysia and Zaba Library, University of Malaya. All these documents are analyzed and evaluated and interpreted hermeneutically to avoid any elements of bias. The results found that the explosion and opening of tin mining areas in Kinta district opened opportunities for Christian missionaries and the British government to advance English education for the purpose of benefiting both parties. 3254 | 2021 article | The importance of puppet plays to children in disaster preparedness programmes Loy, Chee Luen In disaster preparedness programmes, puppet plays are an important therapeutic medium for children. Accordingly, this qualitative study was aimed to investigate the importance of puppet plays for children who were enrolled in the said programme. In-depth interviews were conducted on six respondents, two of whom were males included a school head, and a worker from the rehabilitation centre respectively. Meanwhile, the four remaining females included a teacher, two caretakers, and a disaster survivor among the disaster community. Following thematic analysis, it was found that the inclusion of puppet plays in a disaster preparedness programme not only educated nursery, kindergarten, and primary school children on disaster preparedness; they helped reduce the emotional impact caused by such untoward incidents as well. Hence, puppet plays can be useful in psychotherapy for children in such programmes.

The theoretical framework in this study was based on the Agency theory. A quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was utilised as the main study design. The data was collected from a group of respondents comprising CFO, CEO, Accountants, Internal Auditors, and Audit Committee selected through non-random purposive sampling. This study was conducted through experimental method. This between-subject experimental study was conducted by watching a short video and complete a set of questionnaire to the participants. A total of 32 participants with equal gender were participated in the experiment through convenience sampling. Instruments used were the PANAS Questionnaire and Alternative Uses Task (AUT). Two types of videos to give intended effect of positive and negative emotions were used. Manipulation check was conducted before the actual study to test the instruments. Research hypotheses were tested by the independent T-test analyses. This case study was conducted to confirm that AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) is an effective way in enhancing social communication skill among children with learning disabilities. The objective of this study were to identify the impact of using AAC in verbal and nonverbal communication and skill in social interaction. Respondents consisted of 30 children with learning disabilities, aged eight to twelve years, from three primary school in Perak. Forty-five male Physical Education undergraduates participated in this study and were randomly divided into three groups, (i.e. analogy, explicit and control). Their sprint performances were assessed using wireless timing gate while the kinematic data was assessed by Kinovea software. The analogy group received three analogies which were “run tall”, “chin to pocket” and “claw the track” throughout the intervention sessions whereas the explicit group received “keep the body posture in an upright position and aligned, head and butt not tilting outward”, “arms should maintain a 90-degree angle at the elbow throughout the upswing as well as backswing” and “the foot landing should always be on the balls of the feet”. It describes the design process by employing the Isman Instructional Design Model. A quantitative study was carried out using an experimental method. The instruments used were pretest and posttest for form four students’ achievements in Physics. The sample of this study consists of three groups: a Traditional Physics Laboratory (T-Lab); Form Four STEM-Based Physics Interactive Laboratory with explanation feedback (i-LabP); and Form Four STEM-Based Physics Interactive Laboratory with knowledge of results (i-LabK).
