| 5651 | 2021 Article | An empirical study of real-time information-receiving using industry 4.0 technologies in downstream operations Mujahid Ghouri, Arsalan Industry 4.0 requires firms to adopt the latest technology to be more effective. However, previous studies have not addressed customer engagement (CE) and its direct benefit (buying) and indirect benefits (referring, influencing, and feedback) using modern technologies such as industry 4.0. The present study analyses customer engagement in regard to real-time information receiving (RTIR) in the downstream operations implemented through software-as-a-service technology. The data is collected from 533 customers of small businesses in retail, food & beverages, and accommodation sectors. The study's empirical model is validated using the theory of information sharing (ToIS). The outcomes specify that RTIR is the antecedent of CE. The results show the mediation effect of customer orientation on RTIR and CE relationship. The study also confirms that gender moderates three out of the four examined relationships between RTIR and CE. Subsequently, our outcomes offer a deeper understanding of RT..... 1438 hits |

| 5653 | 2021 Article | Alternative water resources quality assessment during flood disaster in Kuala Krai, Kelantan, Malaysia Koh, Liew See Quality assessment of water resources is important to ensure the well-being of residents, especially the victims who are affected by floods and having difficulties in obtaining clean water supply when the floods hit. This paper seeks to discuss the quality assessment of water resources in the district of Kuala Krai, Kelantan. Field methods were used to collect water samples during the northeast monsoon season in the month of December 2016/January 2017 involving six well stations, four flood water stations and four rainfall stations. The quality assessment of water resources involved six key parameters, namely DO, pH, BOD, COD, NH3N and SS using the Water Quality Index (WQI) analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the WQI percentage of well and flood water stations accounted for 61.31 to 75.95% which is Class III of moderately contaminated status, except the T6 station that recorded 80.99% of WQI value which is Class II of good status. The findings also showed that all WQI val..... 691 hits |
| 5654 | 2021 Article | Alkyl glycol chitosan derivatives for encapsulation and controlled release of rotenone Azlan Kamari Rotenone is a hydrophobic organic compound with the excellent insecticidal property. However, its hydrophobicity and the short period of efficacy due to rapid degradation in the presence of UV light and air have limited its application as an insecticide. This study studied the effects of hydrophobic alkyl groups on encapsulation and controlled release of rotenone by amphiphilic chitosan derivatives namely, octyl glycol chitosan (OGC) and lauryl glycol chitosan (LGC) were assessed. The physical and chemical properties of OGC and LGC were characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer, CHNO Elemental Analyzer, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Fluorescence Spectrofluorometer, and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). The efficiency of OGC and LGC to encapsulate for rotenone in its micelles was determined by using a High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). FTIR and CHNO elemental analyses confirmed the amphiphilic chitosan derivatives were successfully synthesized..... 659 hits |

of Algebra for Form Two. The method used is product design and development research by using ADDIE
model. The approach of this study is quantitative. A total of 100 Form Two students around Perak were
randomly selected for this study. Before the questionnaire was distributed, students were taught how to
use the 'Algebraic Lab'. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively. Based on the mean analysis, the
usability of 'Algebraic Lab' as a learning aid is 3.15 which is a moderate level. In conclusion, 'Algebraic
Lab' is suitable for use as a learning aid for Algebra topics. The implication of this study shows that the
process of teaching and learning in Malaysia through games can increase the understanding and attract
students' attention to learn the topic of Algebra. In addition, the 'Algebraic Lab' gives positive impact to
students, teachers, schools and the Ministry of..... 2241 hits |
| 5656 | 2021 Article | Advocating for the sustainability of semai indigenous music through the collaborative creation of new traditional music: A participatory action research (par) methodology Clare, Chan Suet Ching This article provides a critical reflection on the participatory approach methodology and the collaborative creation approach used in an advocacy project to sustain the musical heritage of the indigenous Semai community in Malaysia. These approaches were examined through the medium of an advocacy project that aimed to stimulate the interest of Semai youth in traditional music through relevance, engagement, and connection with their current musical interest and skills. The intention of the project was to also co-create new traditional music with the Semai youth through live musical interaction, improvisation and jam sessions with the research team. This article explored the research team?s use of the ?Participatory Action Research? (PAR) method, which involved planning, action, observation, reflection, and revision during the initial stages of our advocacy project. Our findings suggest a narrative style in discussing advocacy processes because they occur in a lateral than the linear or ..... 2046 hits |
| 5657 | 2021 Article | Adjustment and application of the band gap of nano titanium dioxide: its usefulness on photo degradation of wastewater (phenol) AlSalih, Moatasem A high concentration of phenol and its derivatives were found in the surface water of the Euphrates River in south Iraq?s Nasiriya city causing its pollution from the wastewater derived from different chemicals. This study includes modification of the TiO2 (anatase) bandgap by doping with platinum atoms using the sol-gel method. The modification would reduce the gap separating energy levels between conduction band CB and valance band VB, which in turn, would facilitate the transfer of excited electrons from VB to CB. Absorption of the energy from incident photons having the same or larger energy than that of the bandgap would promote the formation of the couple (electron-hole). The resulting (e-/h+) couple would act to produce (OH) radicals. OH radicals haze a power with full capacity to destroy organic pollutants in the water that are absorbed on the surface of the photocatalytic TiO2. The structure of prepared TiO2 powders was dulcified using XRD, the particle size and their distribu..... 1339 hits |
| 5658 | 2021 Article | A validation study of the early childhood care and education in-service carereducators instrument Shazlyn Milleana Shaharudin ECCE In-Service Carer Educator Instrument is designed to identify early childhood carer-educators' professional competence level in Malaysia by establishing and substantiating its validity. A comprehensive literature review and interviews with experienced childcare educators were conducted to identify the elements that affect the quality of early childhood education. It was reviewed by two experts, in order to augment the validity of this instrument. In addition, this study involved 2522 carereducators. Principal components analysis revealed six scales observing the early childhood professionalism quality which were knowledge, practices, skills, disposition, career development and career path. Each instrument item covered a component loading range of 0.85 to 0.72. In contrast, the alpha reliability coefficient ranges from 0.91 to 0.96 for every scale. The validity and reliability of the ECCE in-Service Carer-Educators Instrument were verified by the findings of this study. Furthermore,..... 654 hits |
| 5659 | 2021 Article | A tele encephalopathy diagnosis based on eeg signal compression and encryption Azmi Shawkat Abdulbaqi A Telemedicine network that uses connectivity and information technology to transmit medical signals such as neurological signals Electroencephalography (EEG) has become a reality for medical services of long distances. In the monitoring of mobile healthcare, these signals need to be compressed for the efficient utilization of bandwidth and the confidentiality of these signals, where compression is a critical tool to solve storage and transmission problems and can then retrieve the original signal (OS) from the compressed signal. The objective of this manuscript is to achieve higher compression gains at a low bit rate while maintaining the integrity of clinical details and also encrypting the signal to keep it private, except for specialists. Thresholding techniques are utilized in the compression stage, the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). Instead, Huffman Encoding (HuFE) is utilized for compression and EEG signal encryption with chaos. This manuscript addresses the encoding of EEG s..... 1203 hits |
