Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mengupas pemikiran Mana Sikana dalam teks-teks drama yang dihasilkannya terhadap sembilan buah drama karya beliau iaitu drama lhsan, Tanah di Hujung Bendang, Pengadilan, Hikmah, Mustaqima, Apa-apa, Di Hujung Taming Sari, Pasir-Pasir di Pasir Salak dan Air Mala Naning berdasarkan tiga zaman iaitu Realisme (1960-1970),Absurd (1980-1990) dan Metasejarah (tahun 2000-2010) menjadi bahan analisis. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori sastera teksdealisme. Empat prinsip yang menjadi landasan teori ini ialah prinsip kehadiran, prinsip pelanggaran, prinsip pengukuhan dan prinsip keperibadian telah dijadikan kriteria mengukur keunggulan drama-drama Mana Sikana. Kajian mendapati drama-drama beliau mempunyai pelbagai tingkat pengalaman. Dalam meletakkan mutu drama ke tahap yang lebih unggul, beliau telah melakukan pelanggaran terhadap konvensi sastera termasuklah pelanggaran terhadap aliran, watak dan teknik. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti gaya bercinta dan perkaitannya dengan kepuasan perkahwinan dalam kalangan orang Islam di Selangor. Love Attitude Scale (LAS) oleh Hendrick, Hendrick & Dicker (1998) telah digunakan untuk mengukur gaya bercinta dan Kansas Marital Satisfaction Scale oleh Schumm (1983) telah digunakan untuk mengukur kepuasan perkahwinan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan gaya bercinta Storge, Eros, Pragma, Mania dan Agape mempunyai perkaitan yang signifikan dengan kepuasan perkahwinan, manakala gaya bercinta Ludus tidak mempunyai perkaitan dengan kepuasan perkahwinan. Pelaksanaan program pemindahan ilmu tatacara menyelamat ketika banjir adalah salah satu langkah inisiatif Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Pejabat Tanah dan Jajahan Kuala Krai (PTJKK) dan Kementerian Pelajaran Tinggi (KTP) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesedaran komuniti dalam mengaplikasikan tatacara menyelamat sewaktu banjir. Pengetahuan mengenai tatacara menyelamat telah dipindahkan secara berperingkat di mana ahli akademik akan memindahkan ilmu kepada Graduate Intern (GI), ketua-ketua kampung dan ahli kumpulan ResQ UPSI seterusnya pemindahan ilmu daripada GI kepada komuniti kampung dilakukan dengan bantuan modul tatacara menyelamat sebagai panduan persediaan komuniti menghadapi banjir. Thisresearch was conducted to examine the relationship between depression and child abuse among career parents in Melaka. Career parents both father and mothers in different fields (N=60) were randomly selected from Melaka, Malaysia. Clinical Assessment of Depression (CAD) and Child Abuse Potential Inventory (CAPI) instruments were used to collect the data. The results revealed that depression has significant positive relationship with child abuse potential inventory (r=.640**). The results concluded that there is significant positive relationship between depressions with the child abuse potential among career parents in Melaka and depressions is a predicting factor related to child abuse potential among career parents in Melaka. Child abuse is a complex phenomena which needs to be studied for the management of health parents and child relationship. To explore communicative readiness and motivation among refugee teachers in Malaysia, 30 refugee teachers registered under UNHCR were recruited Drawing on a quantitative approach, questionnaires consisting of 20 items adapted from McCroskey and Richmond’s (2013) Willingness to Communicate Scale, Gardner’s (2004) Attitude/Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) and Fulmer’s (2010) Organisational Communication Survey were distributed. The data analysis revealed that communication apprehension was negatively associated with willingness to communicate and anxious teachers were less willing to communicate with strangers and acquaintances. A negative relationship between interpersonal conversation subscale of communication apprehension and intrinsic motivation was also observed. Those who regarded learning English as important were more willing to converse in the said language. The systemic approaches connect a set of interacting, functioning, and interdependent or elements with mutual relationships. The objective of this study is to analyze how students' cognitive ability profiles if measured using Chemistry Systemic Multiple Choices Questions (CSMCQs). This study was conducted by testing CSMCQs to the 157 students who studied with the usual learning approaches by teachers. Data collection technique were conducted using the objective test instruments consist of C1 to C6 cognitive abilitiy domains. Data were analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis. The results showed that students' cognitive ability is in the highest category. Plant tissue culture technology offers the potential of producing medicinally important secondary metabolites such as anti-malarial artemisinin from Artemisia annua. In this study, callus induction of three different varieties of A.annua, namely T1, T2 and Hi varieties was carried out using leaf explants on Murashige & Skoog (MS) and Litvay (LV) media with three different supplementations. MS medium added with 0.5 mg/L BA, 0.5 mg/L NAA and 0.5 g/L of casein hydrolysate (CH) induced the highest yield of callus biomass compared to the effect of picloram- or 2,4-enriched MS medium. T2 variety was found to be the highest yielding variety in this medium. Picloram-enriched MS medium induced better callus in term of callus biomass and friability than 2,4-enriched medium. Hi variety induced in MS medium added with 0.5 mg/L picloram produced highest callus biomass among the three varieties. Callus formed on 0.5 mg/L picloram was also much more easily dispersed than callus of all three varieties.....

The determination of linear and nonlinear optical efficiency of glass materials is crucial in extensive optical applications especially the laser glass. Nanoparticles appear to be an excellent dopant to improve the efficiency of laser glass. In this paper, the novel neodymium nanoparticles (NPs) doped tellurite glass had been fabricated for the first time via melt-quenched technique. The existence of nanoparticles in the glass network was proved by Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) image with an average size of 20 nm. The structural parameter of TeO3 non-bridging oxygen was determined by FTIR analysis. The optical parameters of neodymium NPs doped tellurite glass were characterized by UV-Vis spectrometer, photoluminescence and Z-scan technique. The optical band gap energy of the glass network was reduced in the range of 3.178 - 3.209. The upconversion emission of the laser glass excited at 800 nm was found in the ultraviolet region. The purpose of the study was to investigate attitude towards science among lower secondary students in Johor Bahru. The attitude in this study included interest, perception towards science and motivation. The study was carried out in Johor Bahru, Johor. The study adopted quantitative descriptive research designs and questionnaires were used in the study. A total of 370 respondents constituted the sample of the study, which included Form 2 lower secondary students from Johor Bahru. Data was analysed to obtain frequency, mean and standard deviation. The results revealed that laboratory activity, curiosity to discovery science and science as a tool to understand the world is able to improve science learning. As a conclusion, interest especially created by laboratory activity, perception of student when they are curios to discovery science and motivation factor when students know that science as a tool to understand the world are able to improve students science learning in lower secondary.....

Al doped ZnO (ZnO:Al) thin films was grown on corning glass substrate using dc magnetron sputtering. ZnO:Al thin film grown with plasma power 40 watt and 500 mTorr argon pressure for 120 minutes. Film was grown annealed on oxygen atmosphere with different pressure for 20 minutes. The crystalline of ZnO:Al film deposited has an hexagonal structure. The crystallites preferred orientation shift gradually from (002) to (101) direction as the pressure of oxygen increases. Transmittance in the visible regions increases with increasing pressure of oxygen about 81,27%.
