The dynamical analysis of two-political figures fever model
Yong, Benny
In this paper, we propose a new deterministic model to understand the spread of voters in two-political figures fever in a closed population. Voters’ population is divided into four subpopulations: susceptible voters, infected voters in political Figure 1, infected voters in political Figure 2, and recovered voters. The dynamical analysis is used for analyzing the behavior of the spread of this fever. We perform numerical simulations on the model to understand the dynamics of each voter population...

Relative risk estimation for dengue disease mapping in Malaysia based on Besag, York and Mollie model
Nor Azah Samat
In the study of disease mapping, relative risk estimation is the focus of analysis. Many methods have been introduced to estimate relative risk. In this paper, one of the common spatial models known as Besag, York and Mollié (BYM) model is discussed, and its application to dengue data for epidemiology weeks 1 to 52 of the year 2013 for 16 states in Malaysia is studied. Findings show that Selangor has the highest relative risk of dengue in comparison with other states. Data on the estimated relative risks are presented in the form of risk maps which can be used as a tool for the prevention and control of dengue..

Selected model of instructions for physical education
Norkhalid Salimin
This paper deals with the instruction models in Physical Education, Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) and Sport Education Model as possible options in the instruction of Physical Education games. Each instruction has certain features and appropriate features can be combined to form Hybrid Teaching Games for Understanding - Sport Education Model. This hybrid model can be used as an option for teaching Physical Education in the invasion games, net and wall games, striking and fielding games and target games..

The development of Bar Model Fraction Kit in solving higher order thinking skills mathematics word problems
Lavina Nair Madawan Nair
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the Bar Model Fraction Kit. To enhance the validity of this instrument, four experts had reviewed the instrument. The Cohen kappa value is 0.80. This indicates a “Good” extent of agreement. There were 15 students involved in the pilot test. The students used the Bar Model Fraction Kit to answer the test items. From the analysis, it was found that the Cronbach alpha coefficient value is 0.765. This shows that the Bar Model Fraction Kit has acceptable reliability  ..

Validation of mobile multihop relay network model and continuous connectivity analysis
Nurul Nazirah binti Mohd Imam Ma
Mobile Multihop Relay (MMR) network is an attractive and low-cost solution for expanding service coverage and enhancing throughput of the conventional single hop network. However, mobility of Mobile Station (MS) in MMR network might lead to performance degradation in terms of Quality of Service (QoS). Selecting an appropriate Relay Station (RS) that can support data transmission for high mobility MS to enhance QoS is one of the challenges in MMR network. The main goal of the work is to develop and enhance relay selection mechanisms that can assure continuous connectivity while ensuring QoS in MMR network using NCTUns simulation tools. The approach is to develop and enhance a relay selection for MS with continuous connectivity in non-transparent relay. In this approach, the standard network entry procedure is modified to allow continuous connectivity with reduced signaling messages whenever MS joins RS that is out of Multihop Relay Base Station (MRBS) coverage and the relay selection is.....

The use of Rasch Measurement Model in English Testing
Siti Eshah Mokshein
This study aimed at determining the quality of the English Paper 1 (EP1) items of UPSR trial examination for six graders in terms of its reliability, validity and items characteristics. It also sought to determine the difficulty levels of 40 multiple-choice items consisting five constructs of vocabulary, language and social expression, grammar, cloze-comprehension and reading comprehension. A number of 525 primary schools students were randomly selected from 3876 students in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. Using the Rasch measurement model, the validity evidences were shown through the results of Principle Component Analysis (PCA), fit statistics and item distractor analysis. The results from PCA analysis showed the absence of second dimension in the test, which met the assumption of modern testing theory. Fit statistics analyses have identified seven misfit items that are beyond the acceptable range (0.7 - 1.3 logit). Item distractor analysis has identified five problematic items whereby th.....

A questionnaire-based approach on technology acceptance model for mobile digital game-based learning
Mohammad Taufiq Abdul Ghani
There is an ongoing debate among researchers and education on whether traditional teaching methods is still relevant in this era. It is argued that such methods do not gauge students’ interest towards learning and consequently create low quality of learning and negative trends. In this regard, researchers have advocated the use of digital games as an effective medium for learning. It is also argued that the use of digital games can positively influence the learner’s motivation and help facilitate early intervention. In this study, we used elements in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to investigate the users’ acceptance towards the use of mobile digital games for learning Arabic language in the context of higher education. The quantitative approach based on the Technology Acceptance Model questionnaire was used as this study’s primary research methodology. The exanimation focused on four related constructs, Perceived of Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PE), Behaviour.....
