Rahman Hamidon, The issue being presented is the reliability of the field of psychology in particular the Behaviorist approach to language learning and it’s application to computer assisted instructions namely suitable computer programs. The ideas introduced by Ivan Pavlov, E.L.Thorndike and B.F.Skinner is the main focus and teachers are shown the importance of reinforcements that occur in a classroom. The next stage is to explore the application in the classroom and how teachers can exploit the aspects learnt in the way they behave to the students or how they control the students in their behavior. Many researches have been conducted in this field mainly by psychologist and educationist to show a systematic correlation between learning excellence and reinforcement. Finally, the education system needs to restructure itself as far as psychological aspects of the knowledge giver (teacher) and the knowledge taker (students) is concerned in order to ‘educate’ the masses... 438 hits |
