PhD thesis examination report: horror upon horror
Azham Md. Ali
With an almost four main sections largely untouched and the fact that the following two final sections have seen just three paragraphs and part of a sentence deleted, this paper is an almost exact version of the report issued in the written examination of a PhD thesis. Comprising of seven sections in total including the introduction, it details out in the middle four sections the four types of problems found in the concerned thesis: first, problems of writing such as the lack of clarity, nonexistent flows and careless write ups; second, research fundamentals’problems covering topics such as the conceptual framework, hypotheses and data analyses; third, problems with the presentation for parts of the thesis such as the table of contents and the references; and, fourth, extreme problems which should have never ever been committed for one reason or another – hence, they are labeled as the totally, totally nauseating problems a.k.a. the unpardonable sins! Following the delineation of t.....

1MDB: corporate governance going berserk? part II
Azham Md Ali
In contrast to the Part I that is comprised of three areas, the current Part II of the case study on 1MDB’s corporate governance going berserk? dwells on two areas: either fraud or something else to explain the 1MDB’s quagmire; and, decision time for case readers. When it concerns the former, it comes in a total of seven parts with the first four on arguments used to explain away the debilitating goings on in the 1MDB whereas the next one on fraud perpetration being the outright explanation. As for the last two parts, the penultimate one is concerned with the Public Account Committee (PAC) report on 1MDB and the last on Clause 117 of the 1MDB's memorandum and articles of association (M&A). As for the latter section on decision time which is also the very last section of the whole of the case study combining Part I and Part II, its first half is concerned with the choice of a stance that readers of the case study can take in explaining the goings on in 1MDB. Assuming that fraud is t.....

The relationship between parental anxiety, childs behavioral inhibition and child anxiety
Adlina Aisya Azham
The purpose of this cross-sectional study was to investigate the role of a child’s behavioral inhibition in mediating the relationship between parental anxiety and childhood anxiety in the Malaysian context. Participants were 92 parents (father = 23, mother = 69) of young children aged four to six years old. They completed three measures which were The Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), The Preschool Anxiety Scale (PAS) and Behavioral Inhibition Questionnaire (BIQ). Results indicated that there was a correlation between; (i) parental anxiety and child anxiety; and (ii) child’s behavioral inhibition and child anxiety, which supported our hypothesis. However, our findings did not provide support for the hypothesis that a child’s behavioral inhibition plays a mediating role in the association between parental anxiety and childhood anxiety. Although this study does not illuminate the mediating role of a child’s behavioral inhibition, our results still provided a groundwork for the devel.....
