| 1 | 2017 Article | Exploring supply chain risks among Malaysian automotive SMEs Norlaile Salleh Hudin There is scant evidence pertaining to risks faced by Malaysian automotive SMEs, although many researches have been conducted in other countries. For that reason, this paper aims to explore supply chain risks experienced by Malaysian automotive companies. By using a case study method involving three Malaysian automotive SMEs, the data analysis reveals that Malaysian automotive SMEs are mostly affected by risks external to firm but internal to supply chain, particularly the risk of late delivery and part shortages. With respect to risk internal to firm, all three case companies admitted that human-related risk is putting pressure on them. The risks of force majeure events and government regulation emerge as the most common risks external to Malaysian automotive SME’s supply chains. Although the results of this study are limited due to the small number of case companies investigated, they suggested automotive SMEs to implement multisourcing or develop closer relationship with sister com..... 614 hits |
| 2 | 2019 Article | Barrier analysis of supply chain risk management adoption in automotive companies Norlaile Salleh Hudin This research identifies the barriers encountered by automotive component manufacturers in adopting supply chain risk management (SCRM). A qualitative case study method was employed at three purposely selected case companies by interviewing 10 senior managers. Data were analyzed using a thematic analysis. Results show that the automotive component manufacturers are prominently challenged by the level of understanding of SCRM which led to negative perceptions toward SCRM adoption. In conclusion, this study prepares automotive company managers with a foresight of SCRM adoption challenges so that sufficient planning could be developed for successful SCRM adoption

| 3 | 2019 Article | The influence of hedonic and utilitarian shopping value towards consumer behavioral intention among youth mall shoppers Norlaile Salleh Hudin In the past decade, considerable amount of researches investigated the influence of hedonic and utilitarian shopping values on consumer behavioral intention. Accordingly, this has driven the current study to achieve its objective which is to determine the influence of hedonic and utilitarian shopping values on consumer consumer behavioral intention among youth in Malaysia. Embarking on the quantitative methodology, a survey is conducted among 469 university students who enrolled to a compulsory university course. The results showed that hedonic and utilitarian shopping values had positive influence on the youth consumer behavioral intention. This implies that shopping mall developers should consider hedonic and utilitarian preferences in terms of the design, selection of stores and functionality in creating a shopping mall particularly in serving youth market segment... 1203 hits |
| 4 | 2018 Research Report | The effect of social media use on academic achievement of education 4.0 era students Norlaile Salleh Hudin Education 4.0 turns the internet into the core of the digital learning process which enabled
students to learn anytime and anywhere. It makes teaching and learning process become more
flexible and student-oriented. However, studies about social media usage for learning among
high academic achievers in the higher education level are still scant, thus academicians have
limited understanding on how social media can help increase students' academic performance.
Therefore, the aim of this study is to explore the role of social media in the learning process of
high academic achievers. A qualitative approach was employed by interviewing 10 final year
high academic achievers from pure science and social science programs in a Malaysia public
university and data was analyzed by using thematic analysis. The findings revealed that social
media was effective as supporting sources to increase students' understanding towards a lesson.
However, majority of the participants agreed that social..... 692 hits |
| 5 | 2021 Article | Mitigation strategies in supply chain risk management: a literature review Norlaile Salleh Hudin This systematic literature review aims to analyze risk mitigation studies spanning across 2004 ?2019. Embarking on the PRISMA approach, studies were selected through the identification, screening, eligibility and analysis steps. The findings revealed three main themes (culture, independent response and co-operative response), and 16 sub-themes. Several recommendations for future research were underscored including the need to conduct more studies to understand the culture, independent response and cooperative response for reactivestrategies. This study could guide future researchers to augment the current literature by progressing towards the proposed recommendations. ? 2021, CA and C Press AB. All rights reserved... 828 hits |
| 6 | 2021 Article | Value creation in preschool educational supply chain Norlaile Salleh Hudin The study aims to understand how value is added by higher education institutions (suppliers), and preschools (service providers) in the preschool educational supply chain. Based on the qualitative methodology, 14 group interviews with preschool pre-service teachers and 9 individual interviews with the Head of Academic Programs from the upstream supply chain were performed. In addition, 23 group interviews with preschool teachers and 8 group interviews preschool operators from the downstream supply chain were conducted to verify the data obtained. The results showed active collaboration, frequent dialogues, close discussion and information sharing between the members of preschool education supply chain for the value creation of preschool teachers. The study implies that a structured and long-term relationship should be established between all the members of preschool educational supply chain so that children, the end-user of this system, will gain the best value possible. For future res..... 734 hits |
| 7 | 2024 Article | Advancing e-commerce user purchase prediction: Integration of time-series attention with event-based timestamp encoding and Graph Neural Network-Enhanced user profiling Norlaile Salleh Hudin In recent years, the global e-commerce landscape has witnessed rapid growth, with sales reaching a new peak in the past year and expected to rise further in the coming years. Amid this e-commerce boom, accurately predicting user purchase behavior has become crucial for commercial success. We introduce a novel framework integrating three innovative approaches to enhance the prediction model’s effectiveness. First, we integrate an event-based timestamp encoding within a time-series attention model, effectively capturing the dynamic and temporal aspects of user behavior. This aspect is often neglected in traditional user purchase prediction methods, leading to suboptimal accuracy. Second, we incorporate Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) to analyze user behavior. By modeling users and their actions as nodes and edges within a graph structure, we capture complex relationships and patterns in user behavior more effectively than current models, offering a nuanced and comprehensive analysis. | 8 | 2024 Article | Relationship between parental income and financial literacy level among students Norlaile Salleh Hudin Financial literacy has become an important element in improving the quality of individual, familial, societal, and national well-being. This study aims to find the relationship between parental income and financial literacy level among students at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. The research employed a quantitative method using a closed-ended questionnaire to collect the data for the analysis. The research sample was selected using a stratified sampling technique and simple random sampling that consists of 366 undergraduate education students. The result indicates that parental income has a weak and significant positive relationship with financial literacy levels among students. Based on the regression analysis, the father’s income explains about 2.76% of the variance in financial literacy, while the mother’s income explains 10.8% of the variance in financial literacy. The results of this study show that parental income has a relationship with student’s financial literacy lev..... 67 hits |
