1 | 2018 Research Report | The development of educational opportunities for child and young offenders within the Malaysian prison institutions since 2013 Rosfizah Md Taib The study aims to investigate the extent to what and how the government of Malaysia has been
providing educational opportunities for children and young people who are being detained within
the prisons institutions since 2013. The study adopted a qualitative methodology by interviewing
relevant officials, teachers (educators) as well as young offenders who pursue studies while being
imprisoned in Malaysia prisons institutions. In addition, researchers have undertaken some
observations towards gaining the data regarding the implementation of the provisions of
educational opportunities for children and young people within the Malaysia prisons institutions. In
conclusion, the data remarked that, among others; first, many positive efforts were successfully
implemented by the Malaysia Prisons Department since 2103 till date particularly towards
improving the provision of educational opportunities for children and young people detained in

2 | 2023 Article | Factors of women entrepreneurship in Egypt: a qualitative perspective Rosfizah Md Taib Extensive studies related to womens entrepreneurial motivation are available in the western context, however, only a few studies are found focused on factors that motivate Egyptian women to engage in entrepreneurial activities. The study explores in-depth the motivations behind female entrepreneurs efforts to establish business ventures in Egypt. It analyses the influence of macrosocial realities and cultural values on the motivation for entrepreneurship. The finding demonstrates how post materialism factors motivate Egyptian women to embrace entrepreneurial activity as a way to maintaining personal freedom. The results demonstrate the impact of the Arab patriarchal culture on shaping the Egyptian women motivation. 3 | 2024 Article | Formal and informal institutional factors and women entrepreneurship in Egypt: A qualitative perspective Rosfizah Md Taib This paper aims to identify the constrains faced by female entrepreneurs in Egypt. This study also intends to examine the influence of formal and informal institutional factors on women’s entry into entrepreneurship in Egypt. In addition, to explore the factors enable women entrepreneurs to overcome the barriers they may face. The qualitative research approach was adopted in the study to explore the challenges experienced by Egyptian female entrepreneurs. Purposeful sampling was employed and twenty-five (25) women entrepreneurs were selected from five Egyptian governorates to conduct semi-structured interviews to collect primary data. The findings indicated that the main constraints faced Egyptian women entrepreneurs arise from difficulty in raising capital, socio-culture commitments, sexual harassment, work-family conflict and lack of managerial skills.
