This study aims to examine the development and effectiveness of illustrated dictionary in Trigonometry towards grade ten students’ performance and motivation. The pre-test and post-test non-equivalent control group quasiexperimental design was used. The selection of samples was conducted by cluster probability sampling from two out of 4 campuses of Sharjah American International Schools (SAIS) involving 60 students. The samples were divided equally into control and treatment groups of 30 students each. A three-week intervention was carried out. A set of pre-test and post-test on trigonometry were used. A motivation questionnaire was given to the treatment group only. A descriptive analysis was used to describe the students’ performance on the topic, while an independent t-test was used to determine the differences between the two teaching strategies.
