Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengenal pasti kesesuaian program pengajian yang ditawarkan oleh UPSI dengan bidang pekerjaan. Lapan aspek yang dilihat ialah kesediaan graduan UPSI meneruskan pengajian diperingkat lebih tinggi, kesesuaian program UPSI dengan keperluan bidang keguruan, pandangan graduan terhadap pelaksanaan kokurikulum, kesesuaian kokurikulum dengan keperluan sekolah, kesediaan graduan bekerja sebagai guru atau bukan guru di luar Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia (KPM), kesesuaian program pengajian UPSI dengan keperluan semasa bidang keguruan mengikut pandangan majikan guru, kesesuaian prasarana dan kemudahan untuk program pengajian mengikut pandangan pensyarah dan kesesuaian graduan bekerja diluar bidang keguruan mengikut pandangan majikan bukan guru. Dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran media dramatik seperti Teater Forum boleh dikelaskan sebagai bahan media konkrit dan sifatnya menyerupai keadaan sebenar. Media dramatik ini boleh menukar pengalaman abstrak dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran kepada pengalaman konkrit untuk melahirkan manusia yang holistik dari aspek pemikiran, perasaan dan tindakan. Artikel ini membincangkan potensi Teater Forum dalam membentuk manusia holistik seperti yang digariskan oleh Falsafah Pendidikan Kebangsaan. Sebanyak 12 peserta terlibat dalam kajian kualitatif ini. Data dikumpul melalui pemerhatian, temu bual kumpulan berfokus dan entri catatan jurnal. Data yang dikumpul daripada pelbagai kaedah dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis tema. Hasil kajian membuktikan bahawa elemen-elemen Teater Forum seperti dialog, latihan, aksi lakonan, tindakan membuat keputusan dan prinsip-prinsip dalaman dan luaran boleh menjadi teknik pengajaran yang berkesan untuk merangsang aspek pemikiran mor.....

Purpose of this case study is to explore the level of understanding of teachers in a secondary school in Gombak on the discipline management procedures based on the circulars issued out by the Ministry of Education starting from 1968 to 2010. Sampling for this study focuses on the procedure adapted for the enforcement of discipline by the four teachers who were directly involved in managing discipline in school. The study was done based on triangulation technique analysis of documents circulars relating to the management of discipline issued by the Ministry of Education, interviews, observation of the enforcement of disciplinary procedures and analysis of documents relating to the discipline management, and the finding was supported by the finding checklist of all teachers in the particular school. The study was carried out to get clear insights on the completion of students’ portfolios, the extent of assistance given to the students and factors that influenced the students in completing the portfolios. It involved the Form Five students in a secondary school in Hilir Perak, Perak. The study used the qualitative method of an intrinsic case study. There were four students and a teacher adviser selected for the study. Data were collected using observations, interviews and document analysis. Observations were conducted on the Art Room and school’s sorrounding area. Document analysis was based on the Guide Book for the Implementation and Evaluation of the Coursework for Visual Art Education and students’ portfolios. Data from the interviews were transcribed manually and analysed using content analysis method.
