This paper discusses critical success factors involved in developing Authentic Learning Teacher Competency Model based on Malaysian education system. Authentic learning is an approach that facilitates learners’ acquisition of knowledge by exposing them to real-world experiences. Implementing authentic learning approach requires educators to carry out a learning design that connect what learners are taught in school to real-world issues, problems and applications. Learning taught through this way must be able to mirror the complexities and ambiguities of real-life. Exploring and developing items measuring Authentic Learning Teacher Competency Scale (Alcos)

In this study, an instrument for measuring educators’ competency in implementing authentic learning approach have been developed. This study had obtained thirty-six items that represented eight dimensions. These items were derived and modified from extensive literature reviews from prior studies that resonates with educators’ competencies. The items later were validated by experts, and a pilot study was conducted with 250 respondents chosen from the state of Perak. Eight constructs (ie., Assessment Knowledge, Content Knowledge, Curricular Knowledge, Communication Skills, Classroom Management Skills, Teacher Sensitivity, Professional Commitment and Authentic Learning Teacher Competency) were created through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Cronbach’s Alpha was employed to verify the internal reliability of the instrument. Primary school science teachers\' creativity and practice in Malaysia

Creative pedagogy has been explored extensively, and previous research suggests that there is a gap between the level and practice of creativity of science teachers, and that it varies by school location. The aim of this study was to determine the levels of creativity, and creativity practice of primary school science teachers, and differences in the levels of creativity and creativity practice of primary school science teachers based on school location. The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) were used to acquire qualitative data from 20 participants, and a questionnaire of creativity practice in science teaching was used to collect quantitative data from 409 participants. The qualitative data were analyzed according to the TTCT scoring technique and the quantitative data were analyzed descriptively using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 26. Metasynthesis of classroom-based assessment implementation: impact and issues

Classroom-based assessment (CBA) is continuous assessment of the teaching and learning process by applying summative and formative elements aimed at student development, progress, and achievement. A metasynthesis study was conducted on previous scientific studies to explore two main objectives, namely the inherent positive impact, and issues in the implementation of CBA. A total of seven articles were selected based on in-depth screening using Scopus, Science Direct, and Springer search agents. Two keywords were employed for data screening, assessment and CBA, and the article publication period was from around 2018 until 2022. The findings of this study show that CBA had increased the self-achievement of students, and developed assessment and pedagogy practices of teachers. Among the positive impacts of CBA are increasing student motivation and achievement and holistic learning. The findings also explain the issues in knowledge, skills, and implementation of CBA. Pedagogical practices with high quality could affect students positively. In recent years, pedagogy in education is learner-centric or teacher-centric. Accordingly, different pedagogical approaches have been used by various traditional studies with an aim of creating an effective education system. Hence, this study intends to comprehensively examine various recent pedagogical practices to find its impact on students. It also attempts to discuss pedagogical statistics in global viewpoint and assess distinct approaches for teaching and learning.
