| 2016 article | Relationship between motivation and satisfaction in whitewater rafting activity Samat Hajar Asmidar, Mohd Rasyid Nelfianty, Azizuddin Khan Thariq Khan, Journal of Sports Science and Physical Education 5(2): 61-73, 2016 – Participation in adventure recreation is increasing in popularity in recent years. However, out of the 13 million people who participated in outdoor recreation activities globally, 12 million are no longer participated in these activities due to low satisfaction of the acitivity, which includes the implementation of activities, environment and facilities provided (Outdoor Industry Foundation, 2013). This study aims to understand the patterns of participation, specifically in whitewater rafting activity by identifying the motivation factor and the satisfaction level of participants. It also examines the relationship between motivation and satisfaction in whitewater rafting activity. Recreation Experience Preferences Scale (REP) was used to identify the motivation factors, while Leisure Satisfaction Scale was employed to assess the level of satisfaction in whitewater rafting activity. The respondents consisted of 404 ..... 2825 hits |

| 2019 article | Attribute assessment instrument on communication skills, leadership and teamwork among student in Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching, UPSI Thariq Khan Azizuddin Khan The purpose of this study is to design a questionnaire instrument for an attribute assessment on communication skills, leadership and teamwork for the students in Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching, Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI), Malaysia. Four variables are used to measure the attributes of communication skills, leadership and teamwork, including oral communication, written communication, leadership and teamwork. A number of 212 Sports Science students have been selected as the study sample. The study analysis uses Cronbach's alpha test to obtain reliability of the instrument. Factor analysis is also used to obtain validity on social skill and responsibility instruments. Finding from the factor analysis shows that only 59 questionnaires items from the overall 65 items are valid for the assessment. All of the assessment items on communication skills, leadership and teamwork questionnaires obtained high reliability value which is r = .93.

| 2016 article | Effect of imagery and video modelling on self-efficacy during resistance exercise Thariq Khan Azizuddin Khan The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of audio imagery with video modelling on participants’ self-efficacy during resistance exercise. Forty five individuals volunteered as research participant and were divided homogenously into imagery with modelling end instruction (EIM) or initial instruction (IIM) groups and a modelling only (M) as control group. During the pre-test all participants employed self-efficacy (SE) of lunges exercise. All participants were provided with the interventions (EIM, IIM, & M) during 10 minutes rest before the first post-test which, all measurements were conducted to look at the acute effects of interventions employed. Participants’ android phones were downloaded with specific intervention according to their group and they were advised to employ the intervention once a day for seven days. The second post-test was conducted consist of all measurements after seven days of intervention duration. For self-efficacy, significant results were record..... 1495 hits |
| 2019 article | Self-talk intervention using video-imagery: effects on under 19 state soccer players Thariq Khan Azizuddin Khan The main purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of motivational and instructional selftalk cues with video-imagery intervention on Wingate cycle 30-sec anaerobic performance. The participants were 45 male state soccer players employing either one out of three different combination of delivering methods using self-talks cues and video-modelling imagery provided for 4 weeks. A pre-test, intervention, and post-test study design were employed. Using the mixed-design ANOVA, the results shown that participants’ who employed self-talk were performing better in anaerobic capacities during the post-test compared to the pre-test (p < .05). Participants’ who employed self-talk intervention were also performed better in anaerobic performance compared to control group (p < .05). However, result between the interventions group were found not significant during post-test. In conclusion, self-talk cues employed with imagery video modelling interventions were found to be beneficial t..... 1233 hits |
| 2019 article | The effect of method of instruction given on muscle activation and kinematic during vertical and horizontal based strength training Thariq Khan Azizuddin Khan Lunge and squat exercises are two exercises mainly used in strength training due to its multi-joint, structural and freeweights nature and benefits. Main aim of this study is to determine the effect of verbal and video-based mode of instructions on both exercises. Joint angles and muscle activation were measured as an indicator or determinants of the effect of the exercises. Thirty male participants were recruited and involved in two testing occasions. Results of the study indicated no significant differences for both exercises in term of all determinants measured. As a conclusion, mode of instructions may give variety to teaching and learning approach for both exercises, but it produces similar effects. Most important is to ensure in any mode of instructions utilized, the technical aspects given are based on correct biomechanical ques for optimal mechanical effect.

| 2021 article | Effects of Self-Modelling Video Imagery Interventions on Futsal Players Performances Thariq Khan Azizuddin Khan This study aim to investigate the effectiveness of self-modelling video imagery training (delivered using iPod Touch) on open skills among highly competitive futsal players throughout a competition season. Four male futsal players participated in a single-case ABAB study design for four months. Participants’ performances of four skills (passing, receiving, dribbling, shooting), using hand notational video analysis were examined. Self-modelling video imagery training was customized to focus on the two weakest skills for each participant. The results using visual inspection and split middle technique analysis of individual graphs indicated improvement in performance of all targeted skills all participants during the intervention phases (B1, B2) compared to baseline phases (A1, A2). In conclusion, the selfmodelling video imagery was found to beneficial, specifically improving performance of futsal skills in actual games in a season. The used of IPod as technology device to delivering se..... 553 hits |
