1 | 2019 article | Academic crime for humanities: some notes on logical perception of anti-hadith group movement Sakinah salleh Salleh Purpose of this study: This article discusses the basic principles that must be possessed by Muslim scholars to understand knowledge and its sources. The term ‘academic crime’ generally refers to the conduct of a few university lecturers, who violate the ethics and good practices of the teaching profession through the misappropriationof powers or by making false claims. However, academic crimes can also be classified as frauds in publications. Indeed, the ability to reason is one of the things that a person possesses. Nevertheless, it is not absolute, because the Quran and hadith are on the topmost. Methodology: This study uses the qualitative method and finds excessive rationality by the Anti-Hadith Group (AHG), leading them into a crime, i.e., rejection of the hadith as one of the sources of Islamic law. 2 | 2019 article | Comparative analysis of classical test theory and item response theory using chemistry test data Sakinah salleh Salleh Assessment of learning involves determining whether the content and objectives of education have been mastered by administering quality tests. This study assesses the quality of Chemistry Achievement Test and compares the item statistics generated using CTT and IRT methods. A descriptive survey design was adopted using a sample of N=530 students. The specialised XCALIBRE 4 and ITEMAN 4 softwares were used to conduct the item analysis. Results indicate that, both the two methods commonly identified 13(32.5%) items as “problematic” and 27(67.5%) were “good”. 3 | 2019 article | Development of a continuous professional development training module based on multicultural counselling competency for professional counsellors in Malaysia Sakinah Salleh The aim of this study was to develop a continuous professional development training module based on multicultural counselling competency for professional counsellors in Malaysia. The research methodology comprised three phases: (i) training need assess- ment using survey method, (ii) module design and development and (iii) module eval- uation using an experimental design. First, the Multicultural Counselling Competency Survey-Malaysian Counsellor Edition questionnaire was used to collect data from 116 professional counsellors from various work settings. The results clearly indicated the need for continuous professional development training to enhance counsellors’ multicultural counselling competency. It discussed social development from the perspective of integrat-ed education. In the context of multiracial and multicultural society, character education is needed to address the issue of education from different social settings. As such, within the Malaysian context it is Malay, Chinese and Indian education blended together to de-velop social cohesive society in Malaysia. The unique aspect of multiracial and multiethnic society in Malaysia where each society inherited its own educational legacy is now bridged by a cohesive character education framework that makes a real Malaysian society though bound by racial element but united through cohesive values.
