Modul IFitKids merupakan satu program latihan berpandukan latihan High Intensity
Interval Training (HIIT) digunakan bagi melihat kesannya terhadap kekuatan memori,
penumpuan dan kapasiti aerobik. Latihan HIIT ini mampu meningkatkan tahap
kecergasan dengan optimum dalam tempoh masa singkat. Kajian ini dijalankan secara
kuantitatif menggunakan reka bentuk ujian Pra Pasca kumpulan kawalan seimbang.
Subjek kajian terdiri daripada 64 orang pelajar sekolah rendah yang berumur 11 tahun
yang dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan iaitu 32 peserta dalam kumpulan rawatan dan
32 dalam kumpulan kawalan. Intervensi dijalankan selama 12 minggu dengan
kekerapan latihan adalah 2 kali seminggu selama 20 minit setiap sesi. Kumpulan
kawalan menghadiri kelas Pendidikan jasmani dua kali seminggu seperti biasa. Hasil
dapatan menggunakan analisis ujian ANCOVA menunjukkan penyelarasan skor ujian
pra sebagai kovariat, skor pasca bagi tahap kekuatan memori, penumpuan dan kapasiti
aerobik kumpulan rawatan adalah lebih tinggi secara signifikan dengan skor dari
kumpulan kawalan. Di samping itu, dapatan kajian ini juga membuktikan bahawa skor
pasca bagi kekuatan memori, penumpuan dan kapasiti aerobik bagi pelajar lelaki lebih
tinggi. Hasil kajian ini membuktikan bahawa jangka masa latihan selama 6 minggu
sudah memadai bagi melihat kesannya terhadap aspek kekuatan memori, penumpuan
dan kapasiti aerobik berpandukan Modul IFitKids. Secara keseluruhan, dapatan kajian
ini menunjukkan latihan intervensi berpandukan Modul IFitKids selama 12 minggu
berkesan bagi meningkatkan kekuatan memori, penumpuan dan kapasiti aerobik dalam
pelajar sekolah berumur 11 tahun. Hasil dapatan kajian ini, mengesyorkan bahawa
Modul IFitKids ini boleh dijadikan sebagai salah satu program latihan bagi
meningkatkan fungsi kognitif dan kapasiti aerobik dalam kalangan kanak-kanak. |
