| The objective of this study is to analyze the moral values contained in the literary work by Jasni Matlani, namely the short story collection Cerita Monyet, Anjing dan Pohon Gingko. This study employs a qualitative research method and library research, and the texts are analyzed using descriptive analysis. The findings reveal ten main moral values present in the stories, including responsibility, honesty, compassion, courage, and tolerance. These values are carefully examined within the narratives, which offer deep lessons on ethical behavior and character development.The study emphasizes how the actions and character traits of the protagonists serve as exemplary representations of these values and encourage readers to reflect on the moral elements within the texts. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that the short story collection Cerita Monyet, Anjing dan Pohon Gingko is a literary work rich in moral values, as well as creative writing style, as expressed through the literary craft of Jasni Matlani. The implications of this study may assist readers in appreciating and practicing moral values in their daily lives and serve as a valuable reference for future researchers in the fields of literature and moral education |
