Institusi koperasi mampu untuk memainkan peranan bagi meningkatkan pembangunan dalam komuniti melalui potensi kerjasama antara komuniti. Justeru itu, dalam industri pertanian, koperasi telah dilihat sebagai penggerak kepada usaha peningkatan ekonomi petani. Kajian bertujuan untuk menilai peranan yang telah dimainkan oleh institusi koperasi terhadap ahli yang terlibat. Satu kajian tinjauan telah dilaksanakan terhadap 40 ahli Koperasi Penanaman Sawit Mampan (KPSM) daerah Temerloh, Pahang. Kajian ini memberi fokus kepada sumbangan ekonomi dari segi peningkatan pendapatan para ahli yang terdiri daripada elemen peningkatan hasil ladang, bantuan pasaran hasil dan akses kepada input perladangan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa KPSM Temerloh memainkan peranan yang tinggi dalam membantu meningkatkan hasil pengeluaran Buah Tandan Segar (BTS) para pekebun sawit, membantu dalam memasarkan hasil ladang dan juga memainkan peranan dalam membantu pekebun mendapatkan akses kepada input perladangan yang perlu dalam proses memperoleh BTS yang berkualiti. |
