Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengkaji kesan kombinasi peralatan mini tenis terhadap
kemahiran sukan tenis dalam kalangan murid sekolah rendah. Seramai 45 murid di tiga buah sekolah
rendah yang berusia 10 tahun dan tidak mempunyai pengalaman dalam bermain tenis telah dipilih
secara rawak untuk menyertai kajian ini. Kesemua peserta yang terlibat menjalani latihan tempoh
penyesuaian peralatan raket dan bola mini tenis selama seminggu semasa kelas Pendidikan
Jasmani. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kuasi-eksperimen ukuran berulang (Repeated
Measures). Peserta kajian dikehendaki mengambil ujian kemahiran menggunakan tiga kombinasi
raket dan bola dengan jisim berat berlainan (A=21” raket dan bola busa (foam); B=25” raket dengan
bola oren; C=27” raket dan bola hijau). Prestasi ujian kemahiran peserta telah diukur dan
dianalisis dengan menggunakan ANOVA Ukuran Berulang. Dapatan ujian mendapati terdapat
perbezaan yang signifikan dalam kemahiran pukulan hadapan [F (2, 43) = 5.067, p=.011], kemahiran
juggling pukulan hadapan [F (2, 43) = 10.065, p=.001], kemahiran juggling pukulan kilas [F (2, 43)
= 13.896, p=.001], kemahiran pukulan pada sasaran [F (2, 43) = 5.116, p=.010] dan kemahiran pukulan
panjang rali [F (2, 43) = 4.662, p=.015] di antara tiga kombinasi raket dan bola tenis. Untuk
melihat kombinasi yang berbeza secara signifikan, ujian pos-hoc Bonferroni telah digunakan dan
didapati min skor kemahiran pukulan hadapan (M = 2.58, SP = 1.17), pukulan pada sasaran (M
= 14.97; SP = 7.51) dan panjang rali (M = 5.85; SP = 5.13) adalah tinggi dengan
penggunaan raket yang bersaiz kecil dan bola kurang mampatan (A dan B) berbanding dengan penggunaan
raket dan bola bersaiz piawai (C). Sementara itu, hanya min skor kemahiran juggling pukulan hadapan
(M = 26.49; SP = 13.99) dan juggling pukulan kilas (M = 34.15; SP = 14.53) adalah tinggi dengan
penggunaan raket dan bola bersaiz piawai (C) berbanding raket kecil dan bola kurang
mampatan (A dan B). Kesimpulannya, kombinasi saiz raket yang kecil dan bola kurang mampatan
didapati memberi kesan yang signifikan terhadap kemahiran permainan mini tenis untuk murid sekolah
rendah. Implikasi kajian menunjukkan bahawa pelatih tenis perlu menentukan kombinasi raket dan
bola yang sesuai untuk mencapai prestasi permainan mini tenis yang optimal.
