Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian    ini    adalah    untuk    membangunkan    dan    menguji    keberkesanan    modul  Pembelajaran Berasaskan Masalah (PBM) Bio Genetic terhadap pencapaian akademik dan kemahiran  pemikiran kritis dalam kalangan pelajar kolej matrikulasi. Pembinaan modul adalah berdasarkan model  ADDIE dan Seven Jump Model. Reka bentuk kajian ini  adalah  kuasi  eksperimen  yang  melibatkan   seramai  60  pelajar  biologi  matrikulasi yang dipilih berdasarkan rawak berkelompok dan  dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan iaitu    kumpulan    eksperimen    dan    kumpulan    kawalan.     Kumpulan    eksperimen diperkenalkan  dengan  pendekatan  modul  PBM  Bio  Genetic  manakala   kumpulan kawalan   diajar   menggunakan   Pembelajaran   Tradisional   (PT).     Instrumen   yang  digunakan dalam  kajian  ini adalah satu  set ujian  pencapaian biologi   terhadap topik Genetic  Inheritance dan satu set instrumen Malaysian Critical Thinking (MyCT). Data yang  dikumpul  telah   dianalisis  menggunakan  statistik  deskriptif  bagi  menentukan kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan  modul. Bagi menilai keberkesanan modul, ujian-t tidak bersandar dan ujian-t berpasangan digunakan  bagi menguji kesemua hipotesis kajian. Kesahan modul mendapat peratus persetujuan pakar sebanyak  87.16%  manakala nilai kebolehpercayaan  Cronbach’s  Alpha  modul  adalah  0.93.  Hasil  kajian   menunjukkan modul PBM Bio Genetic mempunyai kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan yang sangat baik. Dapatan  kajian menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan min yang signifikan bagi pencapaian akademik dan pemikiran  kritis di antara ujian pasca kumpulan kawalan dan kumpulan eksperimen  [t  =  -6.344,  (p
