Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk memberi gambaran mengenai kemahiran
sosioemosi kanak-kanak melalui aktiviti main peranan. Kajian dijalankan
menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan reka bentuk kajian kes. Peserta kajian
terdiri dari enam orang kanak–kanak iaitu empat orang kanak-kanak lelaki dan dua
orang kanak–kanak perempuan berusia 5 tahun, serta tiga orang guru tadika dari tiga
buah tadika swasta berbeza di Melaka. Aktiviti main peranan telah dijalankan
menggunakan tema hospital, restoran dan kedai runcit. Kaedah kajian yang digunakan
di dalam kajian ini adalah pemerhatian, temu bual dan analisis dokumen melalui rekod
Rancangan Pengajaran Harian (RPH). Instrumen kajian yang digunakan ialah borang
senarai semak untuk mengenal pasti kemahiran sosioemosi kanak–kanak sebelum dan
selepas pelaksanaan aktiviti main peranan. Soalan temu bual separa berstruktur turut
digunakan untuk mendapatkan pandangan dan meneroka pengetahuan guru mengenai
kepentingan kemahiran sosioemosi kanak–kanak serta aktiviti main peranan. Kaedah
analisis bertema telah diadaptasi. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan sebelum aktiviti main
peranan kanak–kanak berada dalam keadaan belum menguasai kemahiran sosioemosi
positif, namun selepas aktiviti main peranan, kanak–kanak menguasai kemahiran
sosioemosi positif. Kajian juga mendapati bahawa guru kurang pengetahuan mengenai
kepentingan aktiviti main peranan di tadika meskipun mereka boleh merancang dan
melaksanakan aktiviti main peranan. Guru juga didapati kurang pengetahuan mengenai
kemahiran sosioemosi kanak–kanak meski pun mereka menyedari perubahan
sosioemosi yang berlaku. Kesimpulannya, kemahiran sosioemosi kanak-kanak dapat
dirangsang ke arah yang positif melalui aktiviti main peranan. Implikasi dari kajian ini
boleh dijadikan asas kepada penilaian semula aspek pemantauan, latihan dan
pengukuhan yang perlu diberikan kepada guru tadika swasta bagi memperbaiki kualiti
pendidikan prasekolah di Malaysia. |
