Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Penyelidikan ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kesan tiga jenis lompat skip terhadap peningkatan daya  tahan kardiovaskular di kalangan guru pelatih IPG Kampus Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Kuala Lipis yang  mengambil mata pelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani sebagai mata pelajaran minor. Seramai 60 orang guru  pelatih terlibat dalam penyelidikan melibatkan 30 orang lelaki dan 30 orang perempuan. Kumpulan  guru pelatih lelaki dan perempuan tersebut dibahagikan kepada tiga kumpulan berdasarkan tiga jenis  lompat skip. Setiap kumpulan hanya melakukan satu jenis lompat skip sahaja sepanjang penyelidikan  dijalankan. Ujian pra dan paska Harvard Step dijalankan bagi mendapatkan data mentah dalam sesi  latihan yang dijalankan selama enam minggu. Analisis data menggunakan perisian Statistic Package of  Sosial Sciences menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan daya tahan  kardiovaskular sebelum dan selepas menjalani latihan lompat skip dengan p< 0.001 bagi setiap jenis  lompatan. Analisis perbandingan kesan tiga jenis lompat skip terhadap peningkatan daya tahan  kardiovaskular menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan dengan nilai p  0.05.  Berdasarkan basil penyelidikan ini, lompat skip boleh dan sesuai digunakan sebagai latihan untuk  meningkatkan kecergasan  kardiovaskular. Pada  masa  badapan,  dicadangkan  lebih banyak   penyelidikan dijalankan bagi mengkaji kesan senaman lompat skip dari segi kinetik dan kinematik,  kesan fisiologi dan parameter atau cadangan manipulasi pembolehubah bagi memenuhi tuntutan matlamat latihan yang berbeza.
