Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti tahap pengetahuan guru sains di Sekolah Rendah Tamil Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur(SJKT) mengenai Pembelajaran Berasaskan Projek(PBP). Kajian ini juga turut menganalisis tahap kemahiran menerapkan PBP dalam KSSR matapelajaran sains serta mengkaji hubungan antara tahap pengetahuan dan kemahiran guru sains dalam penerapan PBP. Kajian ini berbentuk tinjauan kuantitatif yang dijalankan di Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur dengan menggunakan instrumen soal selidik bagi mengumpul data yang diperlukan. Seramai 234 orang guru telah dipilih dengan menggunakan kaedah persampelan secara rawak. Soal selidik mempunyai tiga bahagian utama di mana bahagian A dalam soal selidik merupakan bahagian demografi responden yang mengandungi 6 soalan utama iaitu jantina, umur, tahap pendidikan, pengalaman mengajar secara keseluruhan, pengalaman mengajar mata pelajaran Sains dan jawatan di sekolah bagi mengetahui latar belakang responden. Setiap item dalam bahagian B,C mempunyai skala likert 1 hingga 5. Bahagian B bertujuan untuk meninjau tahap pengetahuan guru sains mengenai PBP. Bahagian ini mengandungi 10 item. Seterusnya, bahagian C bertujuan untuk meninjau tahap kemahiran penerapan PBP yang mengandungi 12 item. Hasil analisis tahap pengetahuan n=234 (M=3.66, SP= .348) berada pada tahap tinggi. Tahap kemahiran penerapan n=234 (M=3.81, SP= .22) juga berada pada tahap tinggi. Analisis korelasi Pearson melaporkan bahawa terdapat satu korelasi positif yang rendah yang signifikan antara tahap pengetahuan PBP guru dengan tahap kemahiran penerapan PBP guru (r = .457, n = 234, p = .000). Ini bermakna dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan PBP guru, kemahiran penerapan PBP mereka akan dapat ditingkatkan. Kajian ini sangat penting bagi menentukan kaedah latihan yang perlu diberikan kepada guru untuk membangunkan kemahiran penerapan kaedah PBP di dalam bilik darjah.
