Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap kompetensi kepimpinan perubahan pengetua (KKPP) dan efikasi kendiri guru (EKG) di Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) dan Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangasaan (SMJK) di Semenanjung Malaysia. Kajian ini juga bertujuan mengenal pasti sama ada terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan tahap KKPP dan EKG di SMK dan SMJK. Secara khususnya, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti sama ada terdapat hubungan signifikan antara KKPP dengan EKG di SMK dan SMJK serta mengenal pasti dimensi-dimensi KKPP yang menyumbang kepada EKG. Reka bentuk kajian menggunakan kaedah kuantitatif dengan instrumen soal selidik. Sampel kajian melibatkan 383 guru dari SMK dan 357 orang guru dari SMJK. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap KKPP di SMK (M=5.04; SP=.56) dan SMJK (M=4.86; SP=.78) berada pada tahap kompeten. EKG berada pada tahap tinggi iaitu di SMK (M=4.15; SP=.44) dan SMJK (M=4.08; SP=.45). Dapatan kajian menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan bagi tahap KKPP di SMK dan SMJK, tetapi tidak terdapat perbezaan signifikan bagi tahap EKG mengikut jenis sekolah. Dapatan Korelasi Pearson menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang sederhana dan signifikan antara KKPP dengan EKG di SMK (r=.366, p
