Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Penyelidikan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peranan budaya organisasi sebagai perantara
dalam hubungan di antara kompetensi emosi dan amalan kepimpinan dalam kalangan
pensyarah Kolej Matrikulasi Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia. Selain itu, kajian ini
juga mengkaji tahap budaya organisasi, tahap kompetensi emosi dan tahap amalan
kepimpinan dalam kalangan pensyarah serta pengaruh antara pemboleh ubah-pemboleh
ubah kajian ini. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kuantitatif yang menggunakan
penyelidikan tinjauan keratan rentas yang ditadbir melalui soal selidik. Sampel kajian
ini terdiri daripada 327 orang pensyarah kolej matrikulasi KPM yang dipilih melalui
pensampelan berstrata dan rawak mudah. Tahap budaya organisasi diukur dengan
menggunakan Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI). Manakala tahap
kompetensi emosi pensyarah diukur dengan menggunakan Emotional and Social
Competency Inventory (ESCI). Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) digunakan untuk
mengukur tahap amalan kepimpinan pensyarah. Analisis deskriptif min dan sisihan
piawai untuk menjawab persoalan kajian satu, dua dan tiga. Manakala, Pemodelan
Persamaan Berstruktur (SEM) digunakan untuk menganalisis persoalan kajian empat,
lima, enam dan tujuh yang melibatkan hipotesis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tahap
budaya organisasi ( u = 7.57; o = 1.142) , kompetensi emosi ( u = 7.57; o =
1.155) dan amalan kepimpinan ( u = 7.65; o = 1.109) pensyarah adalah tinggi.
Kompetensi emosi mempunyai kesan yang positif dan signifikan terhadap budaya
organisasi (B = 0.38; p = 0.001). Selain itu, budaya organisasi mempunyai kesan
yang positif dan signifikan terhadap amalan kepimpinan pensyarah (B = 0.68; p =
0.001). Manakala kompetensi emosi tidak mempunyai kesan yang positif dan tidak
signifikan terhadap amalan kepimpinan pensyarah ( B = 0.07; p = 0.133) . Hasil
analisis pekali laluan regresi piawai adalah 0.08 menunjukkan kesan langsung antara
kompetensi emosi dengan amalan kepimpinan tidak signifikan. Oleh itu, budaya
organisasi merupakan mediator penuh dalam hubungan antara kompetensi emosi
dengan amalan kepimpinan pensyarah. Dapatan dan cadangan kajian dapat dijadikan
penanda aras kepada pihak pengurusan untuk merencana dan membuat
penambahbaikkan dalam program peningkatan profesional. Budaya organisasi,
kompetensi emosi dan amalan kepimpinan dalam kalangan pendidik memainkan
peranan yang penting dalam kecemerlangan sesebuah organisasi pendidikan. Oleh itu,
hasil analisis kajian ini merupakan bahan rujukan untuk pengurusan pendidikan dalam
merancangkan strategi pendidikan pada masa akan datang. Oleh itu, kajian ini memberi
sumbangan kepada kesusasteraan kepimpinan dalam bidang pendidikan di Malaysia. |
