Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk meneroka kriteria kemahiran berfikir secara kritis dalam
kalangan murid tingkatan empat yang mengambil subjek Biologi. Terdapat dua objektif
bagi kajian ini iaitu 1) mengenal pasti aspek bagi kriteria kemahiran berfikir secara
kritis yang terkandung dalam pemikiran murid Biologi tingkatan empat dan 2)
mengenalpasti kriteria paling dominan dalam kemahiran berfikir secara kritis murid
Biologi tingkatan empat. Metodologi bagi kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan
kualitatif dengan reka bentuk kajian kes. Pemilihan responden kajian dijalankan secara
persampelan bertujuan yang diambil seramai lima orang murid yang mengambil subjek
Biologi. Teknik persampelan bertujuan yang digunakan bagi pengumpulan data dalam
pendekatan kualitatif ini adalah temubual berstruktur. Kaedah yang digunakan bagi
analisis data dalam kajian ini adalah kaedah tematik. Data dianalisis secara tematik
berdasarkan transkrib temubual untuk memperoleh tema bagi setiap kriteria pemikiran
kritis daripada pemikiran murid. Hasil dapatan iaitu setiap tema diperoleh berdasarkan
enam kriteria yang terkandung dalam pemikiran kritis iaitu kriteria 1)fokus, 2)sebab,
3)inferens, 4)situasi, 5)kejelasan dan 6)gambaran keseluruhan. Kesimpulan kajian
menunjukkan bahawa murid yang mengambil subjek Biologi mempunyai beberapa
kriteria tertentu dalam kemahiran berfikir secara kritis. Implikasi daripada kajian ini
memberikan pendedahan kepada kriteria kemahiran berfikir secara kritis yang dapat
dijadikan panduan bagi menentukan pemikiran kritis murid. |
