Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Tujuan kajian ini adalah mengkaji keberkesanan penggunaan Multimodal
Representation (MMR) melalui aktiviti menulis-untuk-belajar terhadap tahap
kefahaman pelajar tingkatan 4 dalam topik asid dan bes. Kajian ini merupakan sebuah
kajian berbentuk eksperimen-kuasi yang dijalankan di sebuah sekolah menengah
kebangsaan di Pulau Pinang. Seramai 47 orang pelajar tingkatan empat yang
mengambil mata pelajaran Kimia terlibat dalam kajian ini yang dipilih melalui
persampelan rawak berkelompok. Instrumen kajian yang digunakan dalam kajian ini
adalah ujian-pra dan pasca serta rubrik penilaian MMR untuk mengumpul data. Data
dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif (min dan sisihan piawai) dan statistik
inferensi (ujian-t). Statistik deskriptif menunjukkan tahap penggunaan MMR dan tahap
kefahaman terhadap topik ini oleh kumpulan rawatan lebih tinggi berbanding kumpulan
kawalan. Ujian-t sampel bebas gagal menolak hipotesis nul pertama, yang menyatakan
tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara min skor ujian-pra kedua-dua kumpulan
(t = -1.055, p > 0.05). Analisis ujian-t berpasangan menunjukkan bahawa terdapat
perbezaan signifikan antara min ujian-pra dan pasca untuk kumpulan kawalan (t = -
6.697, df =23, p < 0.05). Manakala, hipotesis nul ketiga berjaya ditolak menunjukkan
terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan dalam skor min ujian-pra dan pasca oleh kumpulan
rawatan (t = -8.053, df =22, p < 0.05). Ujian t sampel bebas bagi min skor ujian-pasca
antara kumpulan kawalan dan rawatan menunjukkan bahawa terdapat perbezaan
signifikan (t = -3.624, p < 0.05). Kesimpulannya, kajian ini dapat meningkatkan tahap
kefahaman pelajar dengan menggambarkan konsep abstrak dalam topik asid dan bes
dengan menggunakan MMR melalui aktiviti menulis-untuk-belajar dengan berkesan. |
