Abstract : Perpustakaan Tuanku Bainun
Tekanan kewangan telah mencetuskan kesan yang berbeza. Kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk menyenaraikan kesan tekanan kewangan yang dominan, mengkaji hubungan antara tekanan kewangan dengan kesan tekanan kewangan dan menentukan pengaruh tekanan kewangan terhadap kesejahteraan mahasiswa/i di Malaysia. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk mengumpulkan dan menghasilkan data numerikal yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik. Kajian tinjauan ini melibatkan 138 orang mahasiswa/i universiti awam di Malaysia yang dipilih secara persampelan berkelompok. Data kajian ini diperoleh melalui pengedaran borang soal selidik dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi menggunakan perisian SPSS. Korelasi Pearson dan analisis regresi linear digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis yang dicadangkan. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa terdapat hubungan dan pengaruh antara penglibatan pelajar serta kesejahteraan emosi dengan tekanan kewangan tetapi tiadanya hubungan dan pengaruh antara prestasi akademik, kesejahteraan fizikal, kesejahteraan sosial dengan tekanan kewangan dalam kalangan mahasiswa/i universiti di Malaysia. Hasil kajian menunjukkan kesan yang tidak begitu ketara disebabkan kebanyakan responden merupakan responden perempuan dan juga daripada fakulti pengurusan dan ekonomi yang mempunyai pengetahuan tentang celik kewangan serta bijak untuk menguruskan kewangan mereka. Penyelidik akan datang harus menjalankan penyelidikan di lebih banyak universiti awam serta meningkatkan saiz sampel responden untuk mencapai ketepatan data yang lebih tinggi. Kajian ini dapat memberi maklumat berguna kepada pihak yang berkepentingan seperti kerajaan dan pembuat dasar, universiti dan ahli akademik. Namun, pengujian semula dan penambahbaikan terhadap kajian amatlah diharapkan.
