Abstract : Perpustakaan Tuanku Bainun
Perbandingan kurikulum bahasa Cina sebagai bahasa kedua di Malaysia dengan negara lain adalah sangat sedikit. Penyelidikan ini bertujuan untuk mencari perbezaan reka bentuk, kandungan kurikulum, pedagogi dan kaedah penilaian antara Kurikulum Bahasa Cina Sekolah Kebangsaan Malaysia (BCSK) dengan Kurikulum ICCLE iaitu International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education China seterusnya mencadangkan penambahbaikan bagi kedua-dua kurikulum tersebut. Kajian ini adalah kajian kualitatif berbentuk kajian kes. Data diperoleh melalui kaedah analisis dokumen dan temu bual separa berstruktur. Responden kajian terdiri daripada dua orang guru Bahasa Cina Sekolah Kebangsaan dan dua orang guru Kongzi Universiti Malaya. Kesahan data diperoleh melalui pendekatan triangulasi dan pemeriksaan rakan sebaya. Kajian rintis telah dijalankan dengan membandingkan empat konstruk bagi aspek reka bentuk kurikulum untuk mendapat kebolehpercayaan data. Secara keseluruhannya, reka bentuk Kurikulum ICCLE mempunyai skop yang lebih luas dan menetapkan tahap pembelajaran yang lebih tinggi. Kandungan Kurikulum ICCLE adalah lebih padat dan komprehensif berbanding dengan Kurikulum BCSK. Kurikulum BCSK lebih mementingkan pedagogi yang moden manakala Kurikulum ICCLE menerapkan pedagogi yang tradisional dan moden. Kurikulum BCSK melaksanakan Pentaksiran Bilik Darjah sebagai kaedah penilaian manakala Kurikulum ICCLE menilai tahap kompetensi pelajar secara dalaman dan juga peperiksaan awam seperti ujian Hanyu Shuipin Kaoshi dan Youth Chinese Test. Hasil dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa reka bentuk, kandungan kurikulum, pedagogi dan kaedah penilaian mempengaruhi keberkesanan kurikulum pengajaran bahasa Cina sebagai bahasa kedua (Kurikulum BCSK dan Kurikulum ICCLE). Penyelidik telah memberi beberapa cadangan penambahbaikan dalam pelaksanaan Kurikulum BCSK dan Kurikulum ICCLE.
