Abstract : Perpustakaan Tuanku Bainun
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti pengaruh kepimpinan dan emosi guru terhadap keberkesanan sekolah di Sekolah Menengah Harian (SMH) dan Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi (SBT) di Selangor. Kajian ini juga bertujuan mengenal pasti tahap, perbezaan dan hubungan kepimpinan dan emosi guru terhadap keberkesanan sekolah. Kajian kuantitatif ini menggunakan kaedah tinjauan. Instrumen kajian diadaptasi daripada Teacher Leadership Self-Assessment, Teacher Emotion Scale dan School Effectiveness Questionnaire. Seramai 377 guru SMH dan 242 guru SBT di Selangor dipilih sebagai responden dengan menggunakan persampelan rawak bersistematik. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan dua dimensi kepimpinan guru iaitu membuat perubahan dan kemahiran pengajaran mempengaruhi secara signifikan terhadap emosi guru di SMH (Y=1.435 + 0.504X1 + 0.169X2) dan empat dimensi kepimpinan guru iaitu membuat perubahan, kesedaran diri, organisasi kendiri dan kemahiran mempengaruhi secara signifikan terhadap emosi guru di SBT (Y=1.369 + 0.239X1 + 0.286X2 + 0.097X3 + 0.082X4). Seterusnya, hanya satu dimensi emosi guru iaitu kegembiraan mempengaruhi secara signifikan terhadap keberkesanan sekolah di SMH (Y=2.116 + 0.520X1) dan dua dimensi emosi guru iaitu kegembiraan dan kemarahan mempengaruhi secara signifikan terhadap keberkesanan sekolah di SBT (Y=1.495 + 0.379X1 + 0.236X2). Manakala dua dimensi kepimpinan guru iaitu membuat perubahan dan organisasi kendiri mempengaruhi secara signifikan terhadap keberkesanan sekolah di SMH (Y=2.043 + 0.302X1 + 0.254X2) dan dua dimensi kepimpinan guru iaitu penambahbaikkan berterusan dan organisasi kendiri mempengaruhi secara signifikan terhadap keberkesanan sekolah di SBT (Y=1.879 + 0.371X1 + 0.182X2). Analisis kajian menunjukkan emosi guru berperanan sebagai mediator separa dalam hubungan antara kepimpinan guru dengan keberkesanan sekolah di SMH dengan nilai ab=0.0514. CI (0.0077,0.0971) dan SBT ab=.1176, CI (0.0430,0.1915). Kesimpulannya, terdapat pengaruh kepimpinan dan emosi guru terhadap keberkesanan sekolah di SBT dan SMH di Selangor. Implikasi kajian memberi indikator kepada Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia, Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri, dan Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah dalam merangka dasar guru yang berkualiti dan dijadikan amalan oleh guru-guru dalam meningkatkan keberkesanan sekolah.
