Abstract : Perpustakaan Tuanku Bainun
Aktiviti kokurikulum adalah kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di luar proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran kurikulum formal. Ia merupakan medan pembelajaran untuk mengukuhkan pengalaman dan perkembangan aspek pembangunan pelajar secara holistik. Penglibatan dalam kokurikulum sememangnya terdedah kepada pelbagai isu keselamatan sebelum, semasa mahupun selepas aktiviti dijalankan. Tujuan utama kajian ini adalah bagi membina dan menguji modul pengurusan keselamatan kokurikulum berdasarkan faktor persekitaran, peralatan dan pelajar. Pembinaan modul ini menggunakan pendekatan model Sidek Mohd Noah dan Jamaludin Ahmad, (2005). Kajian kuantitatif ini menggunakan reka bentuk eksperimental sebenar. Populasi kajian ini terdiri daripada guru-guru sekolah di 24 daerah, negeri Sabah. Seramai 80 orang guru penasihat kokurikulum di pilih secara rawak mudah untuk kumpulan kawalan (n=40) dan kumpulan intervensi (n=40) berdasarkan saiz kesan persampelan Cohen (1988). Dapatan kajian menunjukkan modul yang dihasilkan mempunyai kesahan bahasa (r=.91) dan kesahan kandungan (r=.92). Manakala nilai kebolehpercayaan Cronbach Alpha adalah r=.97. Analisis MANOVA menunjukkan bahawa terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan (p=.000) di mana min kumpulan rawatan bagi faktor persekitaran (M=36.90, SD=3.73), faktor peralatan (M=38.78, SD=3.63) dan faktor pelajar (M=38.20, SD=3.58) lebih tinggi daripada min kumpulan kawalan (M=29.08, SD=3.20), faktor peralatan (M=28.80, SD=3.20) dan faktor pelajar (M=29.73, SD=3.98). Kajian ini mendapati pembinaan modul pengurusan keselamatan kokurikulum membawa manfaat yang optima dan impak yang positif terhadap pelbagai pihak terutamanya guru-guru, warga sekolah dan pelajar. Modul ini membantu memastikan aspek keselamatan persekitaran, peralatan dan keaktifan pelajar dijaga dengan baik dalam setiap program kokurikulum yang membantu usaha pembinaan modal insan secara holistik
