Abstract : Perpustakaan Tuanku Bainun |
Kajian ini menggunakan metodologi quasi-eksperimen siri masa dengan kaedah analisis visual dalam reka bentuk A-B kes tunggal bagi menilai hasil dapatan kajian. Bertujuan untuk menguji potensi Aplikasi Terapi Akuatik (ATA) dalam mengajar kemahiran berenang kepada kanak-kanak dengan Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) melalui 20 sesi intervensi dengan menggunakan Conatser Adapted Aquatics Swimming Screening Test (CAASST). Empat kanak-kanak berumur 4 hingga 8 tahun yang mengidap ASD telah dipilih sebagai peserta, dan sesi intervensi berlangsung selama satu jam dengan nisbah seorang pelajar dengan seorang guru. Hasil kajian menunjukkan peningkatan yang konsisten dalam semua kategori bagi semua peserta. Peningkatan akut dan kronik diperhatikan dalam Penyesuaian kemahiran psikomotor, Pergerakan dalam air, dan pencapaian Berenang, Pergerakan aktif dalam air. Hasil kajian menunjukkan skor peningkatan yang konsisten bagi semua peserta bagi Perubahan Cerun dan Trend. Dalam kategori Penyesuaian kemahiran psikomotor, skor akut (m = x1.0 x2.0) dan skor kronik (m = x1.15 x3.0). Keputusan serupa juga dilihat dalam kategori Pergerakan dalam air, dengan skor akut (m = _1.25 1.0) dan skor kronik (m = x1.2 x4.0). Selain itu, kategori pencapaian Berenang, Pergerakan aktif dalam air, menunjukkan skor akut (m = _2.0 x1.5) dan skor kronik (m = x2.0 x4.0). Keputusan ini menyokong pelaksanaan ATA untuk meningkatkan prestasi psikomotor kanakkanak ASD berusia 4 hingga 8 tahun dalam mempelajari aktiviti berenang. Terapi akuatik memberikan peningkatan yang dalam kemahiran psikomotor, penyesuaian psikologi dan fizikal, pergerakan dalam air, dan kemahiran berenang. Membina kepercayaan di kalangan guru, peserta, dan ibu bapa memainkan peranan penting dalam kejayaan terapi akuatik untuk kanak-kanak dengan ASD. Kajian ini menyokong kesan terapi akuatik sebagai intervensi berkesan untuk meningkatkan kemahiran motor dan berenang bagi kanak-kanak dengan ASD. Kajian akan datang boleh menyelidiki kesan terapi ini terhadap perkembangan kognitif dan emosi dalam populasi ini. |
