Abstract : Perpustakaan Tuanku Bainun
Kajian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kesan kaedah inkuiri terhadap minat, sikap dan interaksi sosial murid dalam mata pelajaran Sains Tahun 5 di daerah Bangsar/Pudu, Kuala Lumpur. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kajian tinjauan. Responden kajian terdiri daripada 383 orang murid Tahun 5 dan 20 orang guru Sains Tahun 5 daripada 10 buah sekolah dari daerah Bangsar/Pudu, Kuala Lumpur. Pengajaran dan pembelajaran berlangsung selama enam minggu. Data dikumpulkan melalui soal selidik untuk mengukur tahap minat, sikap dan interaksi sosial murid dalam mata pelajaran Sains setelah didedahkan dengan kaedah inkuiri. Responden kajian murid menjawab soal selidik murid yang mengandungi 32 soalan, manakala responden kajian guru pula menjawab soal selidik guru yang mempunyai 44 soalan. Analisis deskriptif telah digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Hasil dapatan soal selidik murid menunjukkan nilai skor min tahap minat murid (min=3.83), sikap murid (min=3.93) dan interaksi sosial murid (min=3.97). Manakala, dapatan daripada soal selidik guru menunjukkan nilai skor min minat murid (min=4.16), sikap murid (min=4.31) dan interaksi sosial murid (min=4.10) selepas didedahkan dengan kaedah inkuiri dalam mata pelajaran Sains. Kedua-dua dapatan menunjukkan penggunaan kaedah inkuiri telah memberikan kesan positif terhadap tahap minat, sikap dan interaksi sosial murid dalam mata pelajaran Sains. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan kaedah inkuiri dalam mata pelajaran Sains membolehkan murid berasa minat, bersikap positif dan dapat meningkatkan interaksi sosial murid yang mendorong mereka menguasai konsep Sains dengan cemerlang. Implikasinya, kajian ini dapat membantu guru dalam mentransformasikan proses pengajaran dengan memastikan pelaksanaan kaedah inkuiri agar dapat meningkatkan keberkesanan pengajaran Sains.
