| Dial A for Aunties is an English comedy novel which narrates a story about Chinese
Indonesians characters livin g in America. This novel is rich with characteristics of
Chinese Indonesian’s culture. This research discussed about how the five main
characters’ identity influence the pattern of cultural heritage, especially on family values
aspect and intercultural language communication aspect, also discussed the diaspora
form in the five main characters according to Clifford’s theory, and methods of
inheriting culture according to Cavalli Sforza’s theory. The result is, even though they
lived in America for quite som e time, they can’t be separated with their identities and
that their identities played a big role in their what they educate their descendants.
